The guy who has to place all the audio logs, I can think of nothing tedious, you get half way through the ruins of the floating space fortress Omikron Theta only to realise you missed on off your list and the protagonist will be through that section any minute now.

Poor bastards are ordered to walk west no matter what, in a pathetic attempt to bump into Mario and should he have the sense to effortlessly jump over them then they must continue straight into a bottomless ravine without hesitation.

We have no idea of the untold riches that await the one that manages to bump into the hero. Perhaps Bowser is given to bouts of incredible, grateful generosity.


OT: the Stalkers from Half Life 2. Only enemies to make me shudder with pity rather than fear.

Any starting area mob in an MMO. Doomed to be harvested over and over again at the hands of Lvl 1 noobs, constantly respawning to continue this never ending cycle of death, never being able to move beyond the three feet of grass from which you spawned...
