You ever have those days where you get on Xbox, PC, or PS3 and you are just falling down on your face? You know, those days were your normal average for kills or flags stolen is a good number depending on the game and on some random day when the bad luck stars align you get a completely underwhelming score and you look like a complete noob. I just had one of those days and its lasted for about a week. So I place this question to you Escaspist's, "What was the worse day of your gaming career and how badly did you do compared to your norm".

Eyyyyup. I know 'em all too well.

Back in my CoD4 days, before the descent into MW2 and that abomination that is Black Ops, I remember one session when every. single. player. on the opposing team was using Overkill and toting two assault rifles along, each with a noob tube attached. On top of that, they all had Martyrdom or Last Stand on too. Lovely.

Another time... I was in the lobby, and noticed that the other team has the same clan tag (can't remember the tag itself). I wasn't worried, clans usually suck.
But not this one. They were, you see, a ghost clan. UAV Jammer, silencers, flashbangs, the odd sniper, and complete tactical chatter via party chat. They must have absolutely destroyed my team several times in a row before I ducked out and looked for a new lobby.

Both times, my kill/death ended up plummeting to new depths.

It happens every so often, but a few games in, I'm generally back up to pace. It mostly happens when I'm playing without my friends online because we work so well as a team that I get spoiled. Working with people that don't understand the team concept really bothers me.

When I started playing Ninja Gaiden 2 on the hardest difficulty.
For the first level or so it was obscenely difficult...I would die almost every 2-5 minutes. But after a while it got easier and easier and I'd only die to the occasional boss.

Shade I feel bad for you, but I can relate. I once had a scenario where in a game of Condemned 2 (yes I'm a very avid player of it's online system) I was doing my normal scare-the-shit-outta-you tactics, when these two guys joined and instantly went on the cops side. Now, it was 3 influenced, so normally that doesn't happen, so I was intrigued. I go in my hiding spot, and wait. Before I even know it, I get headshotted. I was confused until I realized a slight part of my hand was revealed, and so just knowing that the guy knew where my head was. Fair enough. It wasn't until 7 games in where the entire influenced side was eradicated by one guy, the other guy simply scanning, that I said "Screw it" and left.

Yea, sometimes happens to me on any of my multip;layer games (which amounts to Mario kart wii, SSBB, and Halo:reach) generally I tend to do ok on all three of these but there are some days I practically lose out on all three.

I had them a few times during arena battles (one side vs another side) in Guild Wars. I was on the Luxon side and the maps in the arena were Kurzick (oppusing side). This mean the map were more favourable to the Kurzick so they are more likely to win. Out from the total times I had play on that map on that time, our sides had only won like twice. You won't believe how annoying to hear the other team going about pwning us.

Ouch, I see what you mean. I didn't have Live back in my Condemned 2 days, so I never got to play online (and my disc got scratched since then), but I didn't really think that there would be all that many good players online due to the smaller fanbase. Going from experience, seeing players who are just that damn good must've been kinda intimidating.

Maybe in the occasional Modern Warfare 2 game. Then I just remember that I should stop trying to prove myself by not using Stopping Power, and switch to M4 Silenced with Scavenger, Stopping Power and SitRep.
