I used to go on a real power trip and Name myself 'Sir', 'My Lord', 'God', and when it would let me, 'Master Of The Universe' or 'Lord of all I Survey.' Made me feel like even Kings and stuff were pandering to me.

On a side note, sorta similar, back in the days of Might and Magic 6 and 7, during character creation, I every now and then made a party of 4 completely identical people down to voice and name, just because imagining that situation in real life made me giggle.

It was "douche" in Perl for me. I was hysterical when his mom ran into my house looking for her little douche.

I also renamed Epona to Meat in Zelda:TP. Pretty comical. I've since been using Meatbag as my character name a lot. It reminds me a little of Futurama with everyone calling me Meatbag.

Recently, I made a custom class on Oblivion called "Rapist", based on stealth and magic.

"Are you sure you want to be a Rapist?"
Why, yes. I would indeed like to be a rapist.

In several Chrono Trigger playthroughs, I've named all my characters after the villains. Leads to some amusing cutscenes.

sometimes.. If it's a game I've played to death - yes I'll change the names.

Earthbound (IE Mother 2), I made ness's favorite food "shit" which makes for some VERY interesting dialog later in the game *smirks*
I should not be surprised that I was not the only one to do this.
There was one Pokemon game where I tried naming all of my Pokemon after Robot Masters. I am not sure what happened to that game, but I know now that if I indeed caught them all, there still wouldn't be enough names for all of them.
Oh, and naming my character in Harvest Moon 64 "me". "And the winner of the festival is... me!"

I'm pretty damn sure they make the limit 5 letters in most games to stop this sort of stuff.

If you don't abuse the character naming system you're not playing right...
And I have played through Zelda:OoT with Link named "fagballs" and "I say"... it was good!!!
But the best came in the form of playing FFX recently with yuna called "prostatot", rikki called "jail-bait", and Kimahri Ronso called "paedo-bear"... it was pretty amusing indeed!!!
that would be funny....if you could actually name Yuna Rikku or kimahri :p
Shut Up! Don't Spoil My Dillusion! I Shouted Out The Fake Names For Them Okies! I Had That Little To Do!!! *sobs at just how pathetic it all was*

Ahh, i remember doing that also. It provided my infantile mind with much amusement :p
Heh, poor old Gary...I think I called him a few unpleasant things at the time =) It was only schoolyard unpleasant, but it gave you an odd satisfaction to see the uppity little oik called something appropriate to his actions...

I have fun ruining relationships in The Sims and every neighbourhood has a resident playboy or resident skank (concubine) to move in on women or men in already established relationships and create bastard children with everyone else in the neighbourhood.

I always give them stupid names like Get-it Here or Slutty McSkank... It's hillarious when McSkanks eventually get married and breed more McSkanks

I made my nation on Civ IV "Buttsechs" with the adjective "Buttsechsy" - hence mousing over territory it tells you that the square is "100% Buttsechsy".

On a more work-safe note, when I played FFX I named all the aeons after various muppets.

I remember calling Aeris "My Ass" it led to one glorious moment in the Shinra building:

Barret: Something stinks.
Cloud: It's My Ass right?

Good times.
