Abusing the 'Enter Your Name' Feature

somebody wanted me to play the DA2 demo and I named the guy Mike resulting in the name Mike Hawk
I named my Red rival Douche
I named my HG rival "???" as a homage to the original Gold/Silver/Crystal
I once caught a Geodude and nicknamed him "Dude!"
if there is ever going to be a shooter where your name automaticly begins with "Private" I,m
going to name hime/her "Parts"

In my Mass Effect profile my Shepard's first name is Commander. That's right, his actual name is Commander Shepard! FIGHT THE SYSTEM!

It's like his parents had some kind of prescient vision...
But what happens if he gets promoted?
"I'm Colonel Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel."

I don't abuse it, though I do have a hard time coming up with "original" names.

It's just that, let's say, I'm into the game. I'm saving the world and I reach the end, everyone proclaims me a hero and I'm happy with my progress.
And then, a NPC goes:
"You've saved us all, Douchebag! Three cheers for Douchebag!"

Kinda breaks the whole mood for me. :|

I still lol at some other names, like Link being Fagballs.

I've never given people hilarious names in games before, but i remember The Spoony One in his FF VIII review named one of the character's dog "Anal" so that character had moves such as "Anal Cannon". Immature, but hen that game had a person who had a wrist mounted dog launcher.

A whore used anal reverse.
That line had me laughing so hard.

Nowadays not so much, although my favorite name for a Commander Shepard is Cybill. and yes I khow her last name is spelled differently. (Does it bug anyone else that Shepard is in charge of a vessel and doesn't get called Captain? Because even if you are a Lieutenant and you are in command of a ship you get called Captain.)

It's his actual rank, it has nothing to do with running a ship or not. I dunno that their naval officer ranks are exactly the same as the US Navy's, but you get the general idea.

edit i also do find it kind of weird you can name two things the same thing like my pikachu and arbok both being called stripper. and i also once called my rival pooface.

I am reminded of this picture I saw years ago where someone played Ocarina of Time with a Link who they named Jesus. They got to the end and had a screen capture of Ganondorf saying "CURSE YOU, JESUS!" It was pretty funny, but of course I can't find it anywhere now.

Ahh, I learned most of what I know about Naval rankings from Hornblower. The Napoleonic British Navy did things differently.

I can understand the confusion, what with "Captain" Anderson being in charge of the Normandy in ME1, then you get the ship for yourself and they're still calling you Commander.

I think there was also the move "Anal Break" though I havent watched that review in ages.
