So I just went into the history for my laptop to find a website I recently visited and discovered A TON of porn. I'm not talking like 20-30 sites, more like 300+ of them...

After asking my friend who spent the night recently if it was from him he admitted and said that he "hadn't seen anything in forever and just felt like looking at a few sites." To which my response was "300 is more than just a few sites!"

I'm almost afraid to run my virus scanner and EXTREMELY afraid to touch the keyboard & mouse...

So anyway for discussion value: Has anyone (friend, family, random stranger, etc.) ever abused your stuff to an extreme?

It has occured, once or twice I imagine. Nothing distinct I can recall at the moment however.

Don't forget to get rid of all your browsers cookies, that's where all the trouble hides. Delete them now. Like right now.

I leant my Firefly DVDs to a friend who hadn't seen the show. Having noticed the sort of care that he took of his CDs and the state that they were all in, I asked him to be careful with the DVDs. Naturally, they came back all scratched to shit, and now a couple of the episodes have scenes that need to be skipped because the discs are too fucked up.

I don't lend anything out to anyone because I'm afraid I'll never get it back.
Yeah I've lost an uncountable number of movies and games that way...

under my laptop's keyboard, next to the touchpad, there are numerous scratch marks all caused by myself.
I make those marks whenever I get frustrated with my laptop for being so fucking slow and the tools I use include; scissor, pen, fingernails, and knives.

I lent one of my xbox 360s to a friend of mine, along with a copy of Halo 3. What transpired shall not be spoken of between the two of us ever again.

Suffice to say, with the huge crack in the case, I had a reason to mod my xbox, and that copy of Halo is now being used as a coaster.
Ouch a coaster? Actually, no that sounds like a great idea a halo themed coaster hmm.
OT:I never really like to lend my stuff to people because I dislike being kind at times.
I lent money to a friend though.. I only got $20 out of $50 back :/ better than nothing.

Mmmmm...besides my brother being a douche and using his non-rapid fire controller(the non modded one being mine) and smashing it to bits so it is unusable...nothing

Back when I was studying at university, I'd put all my kitchenware back into my room during the holidays. One time I got back to university after Christmas to find not only had my skillet(like a frying pan but deeper) been misplaced, there were deep scratches across the non-stick surface. Turns out my housemate was cutting meat while it was cooking inside the skillet.

I once loaned my 360 copy of Left 4 Dead to a friend, which came back with the telltale concentric circles of the Xbox having been tipped while playing. Thankfully it still worked after getting it polished. Other than that, I tend to be incredibly protective of my stuff; I don't even know what would happen if someone so much as scratched something I actually cared about (the friend who borrowed my Left 4 Dead ended up paying for the polishing, and it was very minor scratches considering).

Your brother is a little ***** for using a modded controller. Just saying.
\

Currently, he's glitching his prestige and stuff in Black Ops...I report him every chance I get-and ya, he's one of the people that runs around killing everyone with a semi-auto pistol cause he has a modded controller. Hate him.

Nothing game related, but have you ever noticed that people don't register that books are things, and that loaned things must be returned? I mean, I've borrowed games and I've had them returned (and still wait for a couple of returns...), but books just seem to fall of people's radars. I have NEVER had a book returned. EVER.

I really wonder why...

I lent my collection of Chuck Palahnuik books to a friend and never got them back. Nearly a dozen books, over 200$ worth, gone. I was so pissed.

Wow. That's intense.

OT: Someone virus'd my computer bad with porn and bad downloads, just to spite me because he knows I hate porn. He figured he'd tell me to shove off in style and take my computer with him.

Problem: I know how to kill bugs via the registry. He received an email from me with every single virus he gave me in it (I manually destroyed 68 viruses but pasted their carcasses to an email). He still can't figure out why I didn't help fix his computer.

Nope, cause I'm careful with my stuff. Although I have been "borrowing" a friend's copy of Killzone 2 for around a year and a half now...

This thread just reminded me that I lent out a game to a friend last year...and he still has it. I'm raising hell tomorrow.
