Is it just me or did the sequence at 1:36 in remind anyone else of the duel between Afro Samurai's father and Justice?

Also..... DO WANT BAD!

You know, I haven't really kept up with the hype for this, and I never anticipated how much more awesome this looks than Assassin's Creed II. Glad to say I contributed to that number, though.

I'm looking forward to this game but I'm afraid that they're moving further away from the stealth assassination aspects of the game. Many of the trailers show Ezio striding right into combat, something an assassin would never do.
The thing to remember is that Ezio isn't so much an "assassin" the way we think of them today, but a member of an order called the Assassins.

Preordered it. Playing the Beta as we speak. And I STILL want more.
As for the single player, I have a tiny bit of concern about it seeming to move away from stealth, but I'm guessing it's just the trailers showcasing the new combat mecahnics. Just a little while longer...

I can give Ubisoft this, they are tyrants at DRM but they do make games that get attention and that aren't part of the Guitar of Duty sludge mix. Call of Hero?
Sweet trailer, almost felt like it was produced by the same guys who did Rockstar's GTA4 and EoLC trailers.
Addendum: Oh, and John, you got some drool on your chin.

Wait... So you're telling me they weren't supposed to be killed on sight? Because I must have spent hours just running around, finding bards, and shutting them up before they could utter a single sound.

Hmm... Im very torn on this game.
On the one hand its a sequel to Assassins Creed II, one of my favourite games, but also it looks like its focusing more on multiplayer, (which is probably awesome) however, I can't go online with my PS3 at the moment. So I dont want to play full price for a game that I can only play a small portion of.

On the other hand though, judging by this trailer it looks as though it is quite story focused and that will be amazing if the story quality is near that of ACII. If the story is important to the overall AC story then Ill probably get it. But if it really is an important part of the overall AC story they would have called it AC3 right?

So if Cesare Borgia is a main antagonist is this possibly a game that will lead up to:
The Assasination of Pope Alexander VI (Cesare Borgia's Father)

bringing Borgia plots into an AssCreed could be good although I would expect Ezio and Cesare to be working together knowing the Borgia's methods. Do I smell a betrayal plot?

I liked the first, and even though the second was painfully dragging I saw some good gameplay elements before giving up in frustration. Might try this eventually.

Did you miss Assassin's Creed 2 or something? Ezio already killed the Pope.

Pre-ordered Codex edition from Play as soon as it was possible to do so. I cannot wait for this. :)

Yes. Yes I did. did not have access to console around release so its sitting in my Lovefilm Queue.
Probably should have googled the original plot! Just looked up the Borgias and guessed from there. Assume then that this will be a revenge based antagonist trying to trip Ezio up.

Sorry to butt in gentlmen, being the AC fanboy I am, I must clear this up. Ezio never killed Rodrigo Borgia, he left him with the knowledge that he wasn't the prophet to humiliate him. I was confused by this when I saw the first AC:B trailer, so I replayed the game to find out.
It's all here;
