I don't really have any one specific accent that turns me on the most. Every time I settle on one I hear a voice with a different accent that just strokes me the right way. Though there are two accents that never succeed in this, and those are French and Russian accents. They just irritate me.

And yes, there is a difference between Russian and German.

upper-class English accents. French accents are also sexy.

I have discussed it with a few people now and I have come to the conclusion that everyone has at LEAST one accent they find irresistible. My girlfriend for example likes the Scottish, where as I like the Welsh accent (Hint to any Welsh girls :p) so which accents do you like? (I would add a poll but there are far too many options)
First person I've seen who likes the Welsh accent. North or south?

Anyway, probably Australian. It just flows well.

English isn't my native tounge, so if we're talking international accents here, then I'd have to pick between the different international accents there is to Swedish. And if that's the case, then I pick: none.

You see, Swedish is a rather difficult language to learn (according to most foreigners and immigrants I've spoken to about it), and if you speak it with a heavy accent it's very easy to sound a little... "dumb".

I don't mean it in any superior kind of way, it's just that the language doesn't seem to carry well for some reason if spoken with too much of an accent (english seem to be a lot closer linguistically to many other languages, so I think it sounds a lot better even when spoken with an international accent).

Also, im not the kind of person who'd assume that someone is "dumb" just because they can't speak Swedish very well. But suffice to say that if it sounds "dumb", then it's not very likely that I'd feel that it sounds "attractive".

If were talking regional accents however, I guess there are a few that can sound a little "cute" coming from the right person. In fact, the accent I have myself would probably be the one I consider to be least attractive (apart from the one they speak in the most southern region of Sweden called "skåne", because that's just awful :p). My regional accent (the one used predominantly around and inside the main capital), sounds incredibly "cocky" and hostile for some reason. There's no humility to it, it's like the very accent says "I'm better than all of you, despite the fact that I can't come up with any tangible reason for thinking that I am". Quite obnoxious to say the least.

If the choice pretty much bottles down to english accents however, then it's a bit more tricky. I guess it's because im more into the sound of a womans voice than her accent when I think of "attractiveness". Although I guess I could admit that a female voice on the more dark and husky side speaking in oxford english can sound terribly "naughty" to me. :p

German and Finnish girls often sound attractive to me.

I'll also have to jump on the Russian bandwagon. Out of curiosity I ran Half-life 2 in Russian and suddenly the forced-romance with Alyx didn't seem quite so tiresome (her Russian VA is veeeeery nice.)

Young English ladies using Received Pronunciation always make my skin tingle when I hear them.... which is fairly rare.

I find a light-medium British accent incredbly sexy. Dont know why. Just do.
A light-medium British accent? Bit generic!!... Given the four countries in the UK all sound massively different. I like an "American" accent, a gruff to medium one...

I find really bland southern English accents attractive. I don't know why. Perhaps because i'm just a boring person.

For reference on what the accent sounds like, look for a video about someone from Swindon, or Reading talking.

Most European accents (mostly french and english but all of them are really wonderful to hear) and occasionally a good southern accent.

Well as a mid-westerner (my accent is Chicagoland), I find anything other than that quite appealing. English women (DEPENDING on region) have awesome accents. Then I would say Irish, followed by the huge odd-ball: Vancouver
