Accused of Cheating.. Need a Way Out

If you didn't do, then stick to that. They need to prove you have it. And if you didn't do it, then you can't give it back to them anyway, so caving in and trying to please them won't help you. Just say what's true, and say it consistently. It could still all go horribly wrong against you, because life is not fair, but if you're truly not guilty, act like you're not guilty and you have a better chance of coming out of this okay.

I came into this thread thinking you meant you had been caught cheating on your spouse and had prepared an arsenal of things you could do to get out of such an interesting predicament....

That's exactly what I was expecting, and I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the truth. It makes for much less juicy discussion.

There's only one way out.

Make it clear in your suicide note that the accusations of theft and cheating, bullying from the teacher and class, and fear of unjust punitive actions against you drove you to kill yourself. Your parents will be justified in bringing suits against both the teacher and school for a modest sum. Enough to retire and live the rest of their lives in comfort.

Of course make sure you destroy the answer key such that they will never find any remains.
