For those of you who don?t know the escapist [a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/ace_of_something] called Ace_of_Something[/a] I think he?s most known on this board for his [a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.78482?page=1] ask a cop[/a] thread and always bringing up the unique law enforcement point of view. He is also my best and oldest friend, we?ve been friends for 20 years since a faithful day in 4th grade when he beat up a kid who was picking on me for my ?Indian girl hair?. He has had my back ever since than and is one of the most loyal, good natured, and kind-hearted people you will ever meet. If he got hit by a car he'd apologize and make sure the driver was okay before tending his massive wound. That's the kind of guy he is.
I wanted those on the board to know he was admitted to the hospital yesterday after having a seizure then not being able to stand up. I am not a doctor so forgive me If I?m getting this stuff muddled or oversimplifying but I?m trying my best.
Ace has [a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systemic_lupus_erythematosus]lupus[/a] and it is currently attacking his Neurosystem. From what I understand it?s eating his Peripheral nervous system. He cannot move his legs and arms because they?re backed up with ?toxins?. Although, he is making progress with his arms already. Able to move most of the fingers on his right hand. He is in good spirits saying 'hey if i can move my fingers I can finish up demon's souls while I'm here right?' They have to put shunts in and drugs and all kinds of horrible things in hopes that they can stop his own immune system from paralyzing him permanently.
I ask that if you?re the type who prays please do. If you don't pray just send hopes and wishes.
AN UPDATE: Nov 23
Ace is now able to move his arms freely and twist his torso to the left. He will be in a wheelchair while he continues to learn to walk. He will be coming home on the 25th. So expect him to begin posting again because he won't be returning to work for about a month. He plans on doing this weather or not he's in a wheelchair because he's a afraid he'll go crazy if he doesn't have mysteries to solve.
