True, by this Typhoon is Canadian which means there are no carriers to use (as the Canadian Navy has no fixed-wing capabilities) and the pilot has no carrier training.Malyc said:Hmm... It just occurred to me that there are as of yet no aircraft here capable of landing on a carrier...
Scratch that, I lied. The Typhoon appears to be carrier capable.
Hmm... Now I need to ask myself, do I think it is absolutely necessary that we have a pilot and aircraft capable of landing on a carrier?Athol said:True, by this Typhoon is Canadian which means there are no carriers to use (as the Canadian Navy has no fixed-wing capabilities) and the pilot has no carrier training.Malyc said:Hmm... That was sorta my thought, and you know any Carrier Group that was at sea during the intial strike is going to draw fire from every Soviet unit that finds it.PrinceOfShapeir said:If the Soviets launched a simultaneous nuclear, chemical, and radiation attack on nearly every NATO military base, do you really think you're going to find an intact carrier with a living crew anyway? Well, one that isn't sailing under a Red Star, anyway.
Wikipedia is your friend. As long as the aircraft in question is still in service, then from my understanding, its golden.ThreeWords said:I like this idea, but I know very little about specific planes. Can I just pull a model out of the air, like an F-22, or do I have to really know what that means as an aircraft?
Also from above, just make sure they aren't Russian planes. The squadron you also have to pick out but like Malyc said, Wikipedia is your friend.ThreeWords said:I like this idea, but I know very little about specific planes. Plane choice is kind of key also. Like you have a better chance as a Multi-role fighter in a dogfight than a ground attack plane(cough cough).
The same goes for having an air superiority plane in a scenario where you have to attack ground targets.
I'd feel pretty good if I had an F-22 and a F-15C on my squadron any day.PrinceOfShapeir said:You may be a rag-tag squadron of throw-togethers, but you are a squadron. Where you're weak, your squadron mates should be able to pick up the slack.
Your nickname, more or less.Malyc said:Alright, I'm looking forward to this!
@Mr. Ivebeenframed: I just noticed you don't have a callsign listed, and, being the curious bastard that I am, I have to ask: What is it?
That I know... What I was asking is what HIS was.Redryhno said:Your nickname, more or less.Malyc said:Alright, I'm looking forward to this!
