Achievement annoyance.

Okay, so I was playing Xbox earlier, and scrolling through all my games that I've played checking my Gamerscore (It's about 31000 or so) and I noticed that on a number of games I'm very close to getting all of the Gamerscore, but never have. This could be due to glitches, or due to can't-be-arsed-ness, but there are a few. A few I can remember are:
Halo 3:ODST - Got pretty much all the Achievements except Vidmaster:Endure and Naughty Naughty.
Wall-E: Got all the Achievements apart from one - My Save corrupted and I could NOT be bothered to play the whole game through again.
Call of Duty 4: Managed to Glitch the first Intel Achievement (I forget what its called) and I can't get it now.
Those are just a few. Do you have any stories of Achievement (Or trophy) irritation?

Kind of. I hate it whenever there's an achievement for collectibles, so a lot of my games have 1 or 2 left to get because I can't be bothered to collect, collect, collect.

Fallout 3. I clearly have all 72 achievements but the game insists that I didn't do "Death From Above" so I never get that little game completed badge... I feel hollow and cheated by the whole experience.

Yeah, a friend of mine 1000ed a superman game before the 'Game Complete' thing came out, and he didn't bother with a oG achievement.... Damn.

You want to talk about annoying achievements? Ones that will make your blood boil and cease to allow you to enjoy the game in any way possible? Go to your local used game store, and pick up the follow game. I guarantee, you will want to put your fist through the television.

It isn't a bad game, but it is probably the hardest achievement-enabled game that has ever had the decency to grace my Xbox 360.

I would actually attempt it, if it showed you achievement progress. And it's fucking time consuming.

The "Blight Queller" achievement for killing 1000 darkspawn in Dragon Age:Origins never unlocked for me despite the fact that on one playthrough alone I killed around 1200 and in total across all playthroughs I've probably killed around 4000(it's supposed to be a cumulative cheev).It's the only one of the original achievements I didn't get

Some achievements I enjoy, like the irony achievement in Bioshock for photographing Sadler Cohen's body. or the achievement for putting people on railroad tracks in red dead redemption.
When I make a game I'll have an achievement that says "you beat the game--Whoopty-freaking Doo"

MKvsDC Combo Challenges, Jee Wiz, I tried one and dint try the rest lol.

I think on the PS3 your more persuaded to try and go all the way with a game due to the Platinum actually showing.

Yeah, I hate it when games don't have prog. bars for 'cheevs, or at least (Such as in Fable III) notifications for when you pass certain milestones.

The only trophy I need in order to get the platinum trophy in Assassin's Creed 2 is "An Unexpected Journey", which is rewarded for completing DNA sequence six. I have the trophies for completing DNA sequences 1-5 and 7-14, but for some reason the game decided to be an ass and not give me the one for completing DNA sequence six. I even gathered all the collectibles and fully upgraded the villa, but it was all for naught...

The only Achievement related annoyance I've experienced was when I was recently playing Fable 3 and I forgot to re-enable notifications.

I'd partook in some single player couch co-op in order to open a Demon Door and after that I disabled the X-Box notifications in a futile attempt to get rid of the "Please reconnect controller" message that popped up (I turned off the second controller so as not to waste the batteries).

Unfortunately disabling the notifications didn't get rid of that annoying controller message and even worse, I forgot to re-enable the notifications when I restarted my game, so I earned a plethora of Achievements over then next 3 days without experiencing the satisfaction of the "Achievement sound" and corresponding pop-up notification.

Bioshock. I have EVERY SINGLE ONE except for a DLC secret one that I've figured out is for beating the game on the hardest difficulty without using Vita-chambers. BTW, if you turn of the Vita-chambers, the game actually gets much harder, even ignoring the "No Respawns" thing.

Mercenaries 2.

Was a fun game, but the achievements were just plain awful.

Also, there was a line of achievements for setting your high score(money) above xxx, then xxxx, then xxxxx, and etc.

Allegedly if you got, say, $10 million, you would get the $10 million achievement but not the $1 million achievement. Then you could never go back and get that $1 million achievement because your high score was already set at 10 million. Apparently they were aware of this but didn't patch it anyway.

At least, that's what a friend of mine was ranting about anyway, dunno if it's true.

Was staring at GT5 trophys and saw two that turned to "bronze" trophies beside into troll face.
Finish a race by winning 0.01 sec ahead of the person, and do 3 consecutive laps getting within 0.2 sec of the last lap. Just for bronze?! Even if you try to set it up the timing is almost impossible w/o a freak accident.
