Seriously 2.0 from Gears 2 I will never get, simply can't be bothered for such a ridiculous achievement for a game I don't really play.

I didn't get Cash Out on my first playthrough of Dead Money, but there is no way in hell I'm replaying that rage-inducing DLC.

Trophies that require you to play online, collect every collectable or kill a rediculous amount of enemies gets quickly ignored by me.
I also tend to not bother with the trophies for completing games on the hardest difficulty setting. I prefer to play on easy/normal since I'm not in it for the challenge but for the fun.

Probably multiplayer achievements... and those achievements that you didn't know exist and it's to do something or grab something in a specific level and that specific level you is almost at the end... and there is no way to go back so you will need to start over

Team Fortress 2: Consolation Prize - Getting backstabbed 50 times as a sniper.

I was achievement whoring and really wanted the sniper weapons, so I made my own server, made a bot spy swing it's knife indefinitely in place, so I just walked into it backwards.

Even to this day, I fully believe that, had I not whored that achievement, I still wouldn't have it.

Edit: Read the thread wrong. Thought it was achievements you wish you hadn't gotten. Massive derp.

Even worse are the ones that require you to play with a dev or someone else who has played with a dev. For some reason I just find those to be incredibly stupid.
Especially when the multiplayer is dead after a week, more often than not because the online population is divided by DLC playlists.

I've been really busy with work, uni and repairing my car. Along with trying to break my achievement whore addiction because I swear I don't enjoy gaming as much now

I don't like the achievements that you get just for playing the game, such as *achievement* (AWESOME STARTER) 15G - then find out you got that just for starting your first new game -.-

I know what these achievements are there for but still I don't like them.

A few people have already mentioned it but the "Seriously 2.0" achievement in Gears of War 2 for getting 100,000 kills is a joke. Before I stopped playing it I had beaten the campaign 3 times and racked up around 9 days total on Multiplayer and Horde and I was only around the 20,000 kills mark

Any achievement that requires me to actually try and obtain it rather than just play the game...

I've never really understood the appeal. If I didn't want to collect 100 macguffins before achievements, do you really think tempting me with imaginary and completely unspendable currency is going to change my mind?

Any achievement that means you have to completely replay the game, start to finish, looking for the 100 magic sparkle crystals hidden throughout the level.

Also games like Fable where it wants you to play through a new game to get a different ending to get a slightly different achievement when I know the plot and everything else several times over.

Yeah, it's these kind of achievements that annoy me as well. After a while, it's impossible to get them because there's just not enough people in multiplayer.

I like most of them. The only ones I really dislike are more when a game's online is dead or disabled and you can no longer get the online trophies.

What's wrong with the Dev trophies? It spurs Devs to playing their game on public channels for the first week or two. And after pretty much anyone will get the trophies as soon as they go online.

The disgaea 3 was was 13 hours straight, I think. Kind of annoying given modern console heat issues.

A thousand times yes. Achievements should be just that: something you achieve. This has nothing to do with skill or even time put into the game. It's a complete crapshoot and you have no influence.

Aside from that, I hate pointless collectibles like the flags in AC. I'm fine with collectibles if they have an actual in-game function, but if it's purely for an achievement, I seriously can't be bothered.

Also, those achievements you get for beating a game at a specific difficulty where it doesn't register every easier difficulty. I beat the game on Hard on my first try. How have I not proven I could beat easy and normal? Just give me the damn achievements!

Anything that deals with multiplayer really, but if I had to pick one, it would have to be reaching level 50 in AC Brotherhood, I don't have the patience for that. I'm barely at 25 when I stopped because I realized the people in every play session I've been in are a bunch of idiots and don't even bother playing by the rules.
Basically this. I had every other achievement, but this one was too stupid. Multiplayer achievements in general, really, I don't get. I don't like multiplayer too much.

playing any disgaea game for even a hundreed hours is easy since their is so much to do, I have played disgaea 2 for 428 hours and I am about one third done from doing everything
