I just played Black and Bruised which is a rather average boxing game. But the mistake i made was to play it on the gamecube now there is nothing wrong with that except the controller's analog stick is not made for rapid moving and therefore messes up your thumb fast.

And? I mean so your thumb is messed up, what do you want from me? Get a band-aid or something man or some ice... You'll be fine.

FOR DISCUSSION VALUE Let's discuss pain from games... FOR DISCUSSION VALUE

My wrist hurts after extensive playing of stylus + buttons (at the same time) DS games.

That reminds me of the N64 and the original Mario Party, only instead of your thumbs it was your palm. Anybody who played it, knows what I'm talking about.

Thanks for tweeting?

I really don't know how anyone is meant to really discuss this...

Band-aids don't deal with aches, they deal with bleeding.

Sarcasm aside, is there a point here? Discussion? Edit it in and let me know.

I'd recommend saying something like "what games have you played that have wrecked your appendages."

So many people hurt their hands playing the games in the original Mario Party that required you to spin the stick that Nintendo would send you gloves if you called them.

How dare you insult the Gamecube! REPENT SINNER!

It's called tough love. Try playing Super Smash Bros Melee for 6 hours with friends. Owch. Still, those wonderful memories...

But seriously, add some discussion.
I took care of it for him...In pretty orange text!

THE GLORIOUS HYPNOTOAD decided that pain caused from gaming would be suitable.

I do remember playing a game, getting called, unplugging the mic in such a way it broke, getting mad, and smashing some part of my body against an object in such a way that it caused pain.

Plus I used to spend most of my days on the NES, and those controller's corners dug into my hands something painful.

Metroid Prime:Hunters, it will give you joy and carpel tunnel.

BTT:Every time i play a fighting game i end up in training mode for at least an hour.
Needless to say me and my thumbs are still working things out.

My thumbs ache when I...

Well I'd better be hittin' that dusty trail.

But seriously dude, playing games and getting thumb ache go hand in hand. What did you expect when you picked it up? Now go play TF2 for 8 hours straight and tell us about your finger ache :)

I call shenanigans, I played Soul Calibur 2 on the cube and it's controller was awesome for it.

Try playing Fight Night Round 3 (e.g.) for a few hours, while excessively using the 'dodge' moves (holding a button and turning the analog frantically). It WILL take its toll.

Actually Tatsunoko VS Capcom is best played with a GC Controler or the Classic controller.
As well as Guilty Gear XX A Core +

Granted, it will hurt after a while, but its defiantly more comfortable than using the Wii-mote and nunchuk.

Gosh I remember the N64 controller. I would bite my controllers analog stick, tearing up the edges and making ti sharp, then I'd proceed to play super smash bros 3 vs 1 on the hardest difficulty setting. I still have he scars.
