How dare you insult the Gamecube! REPENT SINNER!
Not really insulting the gamecube but the controller's analog stick is clearly not a good choice for fast paced action. Likewise the nes D-pad can hurt like hell after a while but that doesn't mean i hate the nes.

FOR DISCUSSION VALUE Let's discuss pain from games... FOR DISCUSSION VALUE

My wrist hurts after extensive playing of stylus + buttons (at the same time) DS games.
Metroid Prime:Hunters, it will give you joy and carpel tunnel.
Fix'd for someone without wifi, like me at the time.
I feel your pain.
The single player....mehhh.
But the wifi......so much fun.
Sigh...i need my home internet back.

Thankfully, I now use the DS exclusively for genres its meant for.

RIP Shooters on DS. If you're looking for a good single player DS FPS, the Call of Duty games are decent. But MOON is pretty damn great, too.

That reminds me of the N64 and the original Mario Party, only instead of your thumbs it was your palm. Anybody who played it, knows what I'm talking about.
Oh god, I have horrible, yet also strangely great, memories of that. It was worse than most, though; do you remember that plastic covering over the analog stick? That came off on most of my controllers, leaving just a thin, pointy metal rod. God that hurt to play Mario Party (or anything else, for that matter, but especially that) with.

I never had a problem with MP:H after I got a case for my DS. The increased size helped the ergonomics. I remember back in the day, Double Dragon II really got to my thumbs more than any other game had for me at the time. The NES controller was shit anyways, so it's no wonder.

Modernly though, only the PSP has any lack of ergonomics. I can almost be guaranteed a sore appendage when playing that. The Wii has been a little of a problem if I feel I need to hold my arm out in a Nazi salute to aim. I've learned how to just face the controller at the screen while resting my elbow on my knee, so it hasn't been a problem more than once or twice.

I just got COD4 this morning, finished downloading in the afternoon, got home from work at 11:30pm, played for 3 hours, RSI in left wrist. RSI is more common in long CS:S deathmatch sprees.

So... what do we discuss? This isn't twitter damnit, we need something to discuss so we don't fall into Anarchy! Well, so we don't fall farther into anarchy.

Ah, thany you Onyx.

Well, one time I played Guitar Hero 2 for about an hour and a half. My legs and fingers were killing me.

My thumbs ache when I...

Well I'd better be hittin' that dusty trail.

But seriously dude, playing games and getting thumb ache go hand in hand. What did you expect when you picked it up? Now go play TF2 for 8 hours straight and tell us about your finger ache :)
Why would that hurt his fingers? Just mellow out with the medic and heal everyone or play as the spy and use your OberLOLcharge to fix your fingers.

Does anyone remember the original Street Fighter arcade machine with the force sensitive buttons? I remember seeing a friend break his little finger whilst going for a particularly heavy Hadouken. How I laughed.

Playing Rock Band drums tired out my forearms when I was first starting out. Aqualung was especially bad for this.

On the upside, I learned how to play drums because of it. :3

So you have ***** fingers? Not our problem.

However I will admit that I have had this a few times with PS2 controllers. I used to be able to play non stop but then I became a PC gamer. Further proof PC is the vastly superior way to game.
Bwahahah! >:D Soon the console gamers shall perish!
