can anyone share any advice for getting rid of acne fast ive been on proactive for 6 months and it has not worked at all if anything it made my skin worse so any suggestions?and should i pop white heads cause im getting mixed answers when i ask people


also,does anyone know how to get rid of acne scars i got a couple and those make my skin look horrible?

when you take a shower, go ahead and rub that soap over your face. Works for me.

Also, some random thing called "OXY Spot Treatment" seems to work pretty well. Search for that.

Go to a dermatologist and get a prescription for Accutane. It calms down your sebaceous glands so you don't produce as much oil. Although you will have to get regular cholesterol screenings while you're using it.

Wash your face VERY frequently. I got brake outs when I first started to work out. Use over the counter soaps, and then make an appointment with a Dermatologist.

Avoid touching your face.

If you're like me and rest your face on your hand while surfin' the tubes, STOP THAT.
Seeing as how I was on the computer a lot, my face ended up on my hand a lot, and that was the source of a lot of my acne.
Since I kicked that habit my face has cleared up a lot.

Dermatologists are best for heavy acne. If they prescribe you Accutane, be careful when using it, you get really dry.

It's called Acutain. I've been taking it for eight months and it works after about 2. You have to go to a dermatologist and sign a contract saying the company that makes the pill is not responsible for your suicide (a Senator's son committed suicide while taking it, and the Senator couldn't blame his bad parenting, could he?).

P.S. If you do it, it will Dry. You. Out. Be sure to get Vaseline for your lips to keep them from getting too chapped.

Pop white heads. They heal up a lot faster.

As for preventing acne, go do what starnerf and pimppeter say. It worked well for me.

I have a fair amount of acne, so my doctor put me on Tetracycline, but that ran out of stock one week, so I'm now on Doxycycline. I still wash my face, though, and it's cleared up a fair bit.

and benzyl peroxide cream(from doctor or drug store)
wash frequently, it wont go all away no matter what till you out grow it but these will help
