I vote that Modern Warfare 3 becomes exactly like COD4, NO KILLSTREAKS that ruins the killing and makes it less fun, also if their are kill streaks make a streak called Tactical Rave where everyone dances and the user can just go around killing people whenever he wants and it only lasts for a minute.....also has awesome music...

Its might just be a video of one of those hypnotism spirals with an audio loop saying
"BUY MW3, BUY MW3, BUY MW3, BUY MW3, BUY MW3, BUY MW3, BUY MW3"

But thats a silly suggestion, as if idiots need subliminal messages or brainwashing to buy yet another CoD game.

Can say that I've never really got all of the Modern Warfare 2 hate. The multiplayer had quite a few problems and bad choices but hey, at least they tried new things...unlike Treyarch. At least the maps were varied and have vibrancy...unlike Treyarch, and at least there was a variety of weaponry used by the community, unlike Black Ops.

The game was fun, and the single player was a blast. It's not realistic - who really cares? Games aren't meant to be realistic. It's a set of explosions and epic set pieces in awesome new locals that make you feel ridiculously powerful, like you're living a hollywood blockbuster. Who cares if the story isn't up to scratch, or 'IT'S JUST AMERICA BEING INVADED' - the presentation is what counts. MW2 takes a rightful place in my top 25 games of all time, I had too much fun with it for me to not put it here. My second favourite Call of Duty game, one of my favourite 360 games and FPS's.

This pisses me off. You're not superior for not liking a series a lot of people like, nor are they 'idiots' for enjoying them.

Just so everyone knows, they did this two years ago with a page went up about Modern Warfare 2. Actvision came out quickly and called it a hoax, saying that they were not working on Modern Warfare 2.

Low and behold, on that same wendsday, we got the trailer for Modern Warfare 2. Those sneaky buggers.

Anywho, I'm calling that there not saying anything because of the three days left on the clock. I pray we get to see Soap and price again.

And yes, I do believe Ghost somehow survived with hideous burns now under a new badass mask :3

EDIT; just remembered the day the clock ends is my birthday. Modern Warfare 3 trailer would be the best birthday gift ever..just sayin.
Even if he did survive, you're probably not going to get up and get back into the game after getting a bullet in the face.
Yes but people have survived with a bullet to the face though.

Could be a fake, it's registered to some guy in Canada. And Respawn Entertainment is in California.

It's a rickroll. Trust me, what else could tick so many people off?

Either way, I don't really care. I stopped having interest in games by Activision after they cancelled a game I was anticipating just two months before its release date.
What game did they cancel?

OT: Suuuuuure it is Activision *nudge* *nudge* *wink* *wink*

I demand Zombies this time! It's the only mode I even play on the damn thing, their nutty single player campaign story lines aren't winning any awards for coherency, and the online can be a double edged sward.

Good old steadfast zombie mode knows what I like....

Im just curious, what would be the general reaction of the Escapist community if this was a publicity stunt from EA, after all the raging done last week EC and EXP?

God i'd love this to be Bulletstorm or Duke Nukem Forever taking the piss out of Modern Warfare but I highly doubt it.

So Activision are denying it but not going mental with the legal department for using the likeness and some names of their flagship game . . . interesting.

And six months later, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be announced.

I could be wrong. It could be announced three months later.

Activision are bigger attention whores than a group of 13 year old twilight fans, so take what they say with a grain of salt.

I second that. I can imagine the counter running down, and a trailer starts with a Modern Warfare guy in a combat zone, suddenly, we see Duke Nukem riding a nuke out of the sky, obliterating him, then Duke walks away calmly with a huge gun and (insert witty catchphrase here).

I honestly could not care less about another Modern Warfare game. Here's hoping we get Future War or something similar.

I could only wonder where Activision would be right now if they had allowed Infinity Ward's dlcs to be free like the devs wanted. Probably still rich.

Well it occurs to me that by denying these claims they are generating more hype than they would by flat out saying "oh yeah, that's what it is" and then putting an end to the buzz because everyone will just wait until the annoucement is made with far less anticipation.

If I had to guess at what they are pulling, given the theme of the games, is that they are denying the existance of the upcoming game/annoucement, just like the goverment would deny the ops. the game is based on, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Also if we're looking at a spin off game, they could technically be telling the truth. You know, a CoD game, set in the CoD universe, but not actually called "Call Of Duty".

It could also be a phrank as well by some bored fanboys, I mean it's not expensive to make dogtags and such, plenty of people offer the service. Buy a few dozen of those as custom jobs, set up a site, and pay some postage to send them to the media, massive lulz ensues from trolling one of the biggest game fan bases out there.

We're no strangers to love. You know the rules and so do I.
Oh I would say that it would be a perfect build up to a Rick Roll.

I'm curious to know who in the media was tagged.

Wednesday... 7 a.m. (PST)...

EDIT: It just dawned on me:

"Let me be clear that we are not revealing yet.
Is that code for now now?
