Your only vote as a consumer is your 15 bucks. Don't buy them and they will respond to market pressure.
I like to think that buyers have a conscience and on a small scale: they generally do. However, with a franchise as monolithic as COD, your vote might as well be a grain of sand. Just look at what happened with the MW2 boycott.
Your vote on anything is just a grain of sand, but that's not a good reason not to vote.
I certainly agree. My money will be going to to the competition this year.

It's ironic to see so many people moan about the 'over priced dlc', or the removal of 'features' followed by the proclamation of outrage, only to see many of those same people 'selling out'.
My money will be going to my wallet. The competition isn't going to change that much because they're trying to get up to the CoD level. I don't like what Activision is doing with their CoD concepts, so nobody gets my money.

Map packs are just a way to make a lot of money for nearly no content in return. Basically an excuse to sell the full game for 75$.

Well, I hope you get a nice pony with your extra cash.

Admittedly -- being a PC player -- I'm used to getting my map packs for free.

Instead of talking about them behind their backs how about you email them? Leave the comfort and saftey of a site that shares your hatred and will agree with you as long as you say something along the lines of "Call of duty is bad".
etc etc etc

The only thing worse than self-righteous half-troll who appears to be a %#@##$^^@ hypocrit.

I rest my case.

Also, you could expect it with Call of Duty, just sayinnnn'

I admit it is a bit annoying that they keep the DLC maps in playlists. At least in MW2 if you didn't have the maps you would be matched with other players who didn't.

The game is deliberately abusing you for not buying the maps. It's just obnoxious, whether it's legal or not.
Eh. I'm fine with them doing it.
So, are you a shill, or are you just trolling?

To take something optional and put it on a mandatory list without handing it out is immoral and an obvious money grab. Just because it's not illegal doesn't mean it's okay.
Because when your argument fails to convert others, insult them and/or call them a troll! Genius.

I'm not sure what part of me not caring about occasionally having to find another server you find worth insulting, but I'd appreciate you no longer quoting me for the sake of cheap, shallow jabs. Well worded arguments and opinions are most welcome, however.
To be frank, your posts haven't been much to speak of. Telling some one to stop bitching and deal with an issue they are complaining about doesn't offer any advice on how to circumvent the issue, or find a win/win scenario for the parties involved. If it didn't bother you, then just state so, but don't expect everyone to just lay down when some one wants to stomp on their face. Not everyone will ignore it.

@ OP: I feel bad for you man. I thought it was actually a rule that gamers without DLC couldn't join players with DLC, but I think the rule is just that a player can't play the DLC for free just because some one else has it. I wish I had a better suggestion, but all I can suggest is to stop playing the game and to stop playing any Activision games, because this will be par for the course. Alternately, you could treat the map pack as a $15 "patch" that fixes your issue, but I think we both know that isn't the best solution.

Don't pay for the maps? Don't complain if someone wants to play the maps.

*shrug*
That's just it, I'm not playing on the play-list for the map-packs.
I still don't understand.

You don't want to pay for a service, some people do. When the people who do pay for that service wish to engage in it, you don't get to.

*shrug*
Your inability to understand basic English is hilarious.

He clearly stated that he using a filter so it wouldn't show servers running any maps from the map packs, and yet he still gets them.

I only play MW2, and, thankfully, the servers that do have the map packs are separate from the ones that don't, so I never get kicked due to not having a map pack.

I have this too on the ps3, yes I know its not illegal, it is bad customer service, I've played on the other maps round a friends house and I thought they wern't worth it, I briought the game why should I then need to buy extras in order to use it. I wouldn't mind this so much if it wasn't for the fact that there is a seprate server for the map packs, why don't they just do what MW2 and Halo done as in if everyone in a server has the packs it will select them in the lineup instead of just throwing out people, It's not encouraging people to buy map poacks, it's driving them away, hence why I stopped playing it in the end

Oh btw Dulcinea if your 'not caring' why do you feel the need to keep responding to everyones posts, we know your opinion on the matter from the first first post

It's probably possible to, y'know, save up that much money and buy them when you can afford it, either that or don't, and live with it, it's a game, therefore doing so is easy.

There are many more things that are needlessly expensive, that's just how much things cost, developer greed or not.

I never said COD was bad, I'm complaining about the way they go about advertising their map-packs. I wanted to see other peoples thoughts on this becasue I know they won't change it for such an old game.

Also, please do not bring up that thread. I let anger get the better of me and don't need a constant reminder of a night on a website of assholes and being half out of it on headache medication. Besides, I've apologized for it in that thread and then abandoned it.

Now away with you and your filthy avatar! It scares me.

Then don't 'purchuse' them.

Seriously, bitching isn't going to help, ESPECIALLY against Activision.
Point taken, they have a tendancy to suck a pint off of you at any given moment. Those who fight back or refuse get a piss poor multiplayer experiance.
