Thier sales figures calls you a liar.

Every CoD released sells more than the previous one.

I have a feeling MW3 is going to bring Activision millions.

And while they dive into their Scrooge McDuck vaults of gold you'll be left wondering why it's selling.

Let me enlighten you.

As much as people say they want innovation it really doesn't sell. Bulletstorm tried and failed. People obviously don't want innovation because every year they still buy the CoD games.

I'm not going to begrudge that of them either. I still get the games I want, they get the games they want, everyone is happy. It's not the "evil companies" that don't want innovation it's the gamers themselves. If they change too much they don't make money and in order to release more games they need money coming in so they make what sells.

If people stopped buying them then maybe they would try something different but I can't see it happening any time soon.

No it doesn't. Innovation gets you in the door, clones get you money, and we can't fault activision on that when they have a track record of cloning games every year that has ppl spending enough money on them to let Acti afford diamond crusted yachts, and golden tigers. They did the same thing with Tony hawk pro skater, and Guitar hero that they're doing with CoD, milking a good series till it's intestines are dripping out because ppl are stupid enough to constantly buy them every year, and with acti being a business you can't fault how they handle it when they are making all those sales even with the hate their getting.

I really dont understand why people get so angry at CoD and then ask for innovation. Like Yatzhee said, a shooter is a game where you aim at something you dont like, click, and it goes away. You cant really change that, so even if they wanted to change CoD, they can't actually change anything, i mean its a shooter, you shoot things, what the hell more do you want

How many likes did the video have though

I'm not a huge fan of CoD but its a bit lame when people are like 'I do not play CoD, I am BETTER THAN YOU MWHAHAHAHAH, I AM A TRUE GAMER, INNOVATION!' Well good for you but it comes across a bit pathetic when people go out of their way to shit on the CoD franchise

I dont necessarily think that CoD is a bad game series, mostly its the community that ruined it for me, too many campers, camping for killstreaks, too many killstreaks active at once, can barely spawn.
Which is one of the reason I believe that CoD4 had the best multiplayer so far. Limited 3 killstreaks and no overpowered weapons (unless you count the .50cal) and well designed maps. I'd keep playing CoD4 myself it it wasn't filled with hackers now since the servers were abandoned.

Hmmm... The Escapist is clearly full of lovely people. Funnily enough, people might want to buy MW3 because they enjoyed the past games and want to know what happens with regard to the plot (yes, the Modern Warfare games have a continuous plot, just like other games.), rather than because they are mindless zombies.

And to be honest, I doubt it was removed for 'too much hate'. That doesn't seem like something that any company would do. It strikes me that you've leapt to a conclusion just to demonize Activision further. It's much more likely that it was released prematurely, or something like that.

I want MW3 to fail hard. Not because I hate Activision, but because I want to know that gamers have a brain and they don't just buy the same old shit every year...
If you want gamers to prove they have a brain, then really shouldn't both BF3 and MW3 fail miserably and instead players flock to one of the other more interesting shooters coming out soon? (Personally my eyes are set on Metro Last Light)

It wouldn't be bad to have the similar game every year if that game was actually any good. Activision has to realize that innovation sells, not clones of old games.
hahahahahaha says the guy with ezio as his avi lmfao I may agree with you it just seems hypocrital of people to forget just how many series are truely in fault of this assasins creed is a great example of a series milking the fanbase for money with progressivly less and less upgrades or changes even being made.
What is the main appeal of CoD? It's the multiplayer, which changes very little each year.
What's the main appeal of Assassin's Creed? The story, which is advanced and improved each game.

not really I mean I own every game thus far but I have to say brotherhood really didn't bring all that much to the table a few things the only signifcant thing was training assasains who you can call apon in this new one there really has not been any significant changes either. As far as the story goes I find they are dragging it out rather than getting to the point I mean when bother hood was announced I was expecting to play as a asassain who was further in the future so that desmond would be learning to be a assasin in the modern era but they keep pushing ezio which is cool and all but really isn't doing as much for the story as they could.

My main point is alot of series are being milked it seems hypocritcal to complain about one but not recognize that many series are doing the same thing because if one does well doing it many companys will follow suit.

Activision removed it because the dislikers will attempt to screw up the 95% review score they want for MW3.

A story that is too hung up in one place. I feel like AC had great potential to visit so many places and history. And yet we get the same italian dude over and over again. I feel like they could have kept the story going and made it more interesting in the process had they explored different times and places. But Ezio is popular so more Ezio the people will get.

You do realise there there are game modes with no killstreaks right?

Is there? Last CoD's I played were World at War (which was blanced with the KS anyway) and MW2, but I dont remember even seeing a killstreak free playlist

Yeah the hate was seething on the video that I don't blame them too much for taking it down. Taking it down for criticism is one thing but nobody can honestly say that the majority of people hating CoD give it criticism. Just hate.

The people going out of their way to bash CoD are officially more annoying and worse than the fanboys and community of the game ever were. Period.

The fact stuff like this does sell while innovation doesn't sell is exactly why I'm happy for instances like these when they're taken down a notch.

Innovation should sell. For it if did, well, you know all of anguish over Grim Fandango and Okami.

Its a game where most of the appeal is online multiplayer, they could probably release the exact same game and it would still sell because people would have to buy it for fast matchmaking times.
