Activision has officially ruined Spyro the dragon for me. That dragon was a huge part of my childhood along with Final Fantasy IX, Crash Bandicoot, and Pokemon.
They turned this

Who in their right minds thought that would look better?
Because they should be killed. With fire.

I did this just to rip on this horrible idea.

This is the sole reason I hate Activison

A:I found The legend of Spyro to be actually pretty good. And I am not just saying that because they gave Spyro a love interest. Nope. Not at all. *Shifty eyes*
B:I believe this is the first Spyro game from Activsion since they bought him from Sierra.

Ok I liked the story. hell I would have liked it if it was just some random character. Spyro just made it better. But again. The legend of spyro was a good, more mature addition to the spyro franchise. It felt like the franchise was maturing with me as I grew up. Which helped me stay attached to it. Unlike crash bandicoot. I lost interest in him in the PS2 games.

Aside from Spyro himself, I rather like the art style of the background. I never played the other Spyro games, but it has a nice "apocalyptic storybook" look.

Well I think the ps2 games weren't horrifically bad they did lack the soul the original 3 had but dawn of the dragon was so shit in so many ways. What even happened to crash bandicoot? I can't even remember the last game he was in

This has been floating around for a few months now. Spyro was terrible after year of the dragon anyway so I have ceased to care.

Even Insomniac Games themselves said that Spyro in the Legend of Spyro looked like he was on drugs.

I wonder what they think about this...atrocity.

Also I'm just curious, you talk about Spyro being apart of your childhood and then use a picture of him from The Legend of Spyro series...I'm confused, have you actually played the original Spyro games?
