I get that this is a vent/flame type thread, and I don't love any of the actors/actresses listed...

but man, I'd be very interested if someone made a thread that was opposite of this (a love/squee thread) and see what everyone's responses were.
Ask and ye shall receive!

I'll start the ball rolling with a real gem: Sir Patrick Stewart. Dat voice. I could listen to that man all day and never get tired of it. Plus, he absolutely rocks the bald look.

What actors/actresses can you not get enough of?

Aubrey Plaza. Everyone always goes on about Jennifer Lawrence and how "real" she is but Aubrey Plaza was real before real was cool. She just takes the piss out of EVERYTHING she does. Just hearing her tell a story of something insane she did always leaves me wondering if it was true or not, because I just can't tell. Every interview and award acceptance speech she does is gold. I don't wish there were more actors like her, because then it would diminish her charm.

"Fuck you old people! I'm gonna live forever!" God she's awesome.

There was a lot of hate for Jennifer Lawrence in the other thread. I think it's because she seems like she is in every popular blockbuster movie. Honestly, she one of my favorite new actresses. I think she is going to have a long, critically acclaimed career like Meryl Streep.

I think Will Ferrell is underrated. I like it when he take chances with odd projects like Casa de mi Padre. I have Everything Must Go on my "To Watch" stack. I'm planning on doing a double feature with that movie with Welcome To Me, which is also a dark comedy, starring Kristen Wiig.

Melissa McCarthy is someone I have been a fan of since Gilmore Girls. I think it's awesome that she has become a big time star.

Samuel L. Jackson is one of my all-time favorite actors. I don't think I have to explain why that is. So, I'll just embed a video with song he did with Bootsy Collins.
I think Brad Pitt is underrated as an actor. I really love his gonzo roles. Like 12 Monkeys, Inglorious Basterds, and Burn After Reading. He is like Robert Redford. A character actor with leading man looks.

Sam Rockwell, a very underrated actor in my opinion. Everything I see him in, I love. He just makes me giggle to watch his performances, either dramatic or comedic.

Absolutely agreed on Patrick Stewart, especially after this:

I could also listen to Tom Hanks's voice all day. What a delightful man. Apart from him, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly do seem like really good sports.

EDIT: LOL, yup, definitely Sam Rockwell as well.

Yeah, xD He was great in that movie. His genre-savvy extra routine just killed me every time. My favorite bit was earlier in that scene, when they are coming down to the planet, and he's freaking out because he doesn't have a last name. DO I?! DO I?! xD God I love that movie, and that guy. Damn, now I need to go read Redshirts again.

I'll watch anything with Ed Harris in it. Also, any actor/actress that does their own stunts. it just gives the director so much more freedom as far as shooting angles in an action scene.

I always pay attention when Mark Strong appears in a movie. I haven't even seen him in that many movies. And he's always a side character.

I'm not sure I adore him, but there are few Karl Urban movies I don't like.
Also can we just get him to play Dash Rendar in a Shadows of the Empire movie? PLEASE?!

Can't tell me he wouldn't be perfect!

I go ahead and say Keanu Reeves.

He not just played in great movies, but he always stayed pretty humble about it all. Not to mention that most of the money he earned goes to helping others.

A lot actually now that I think about it.

Bill Murray
Michael J. Fox (When he was still acting.)
Jason Swartzman
Brian Cox
Jeff Goldblum
Keanu Reeves
Willem Dafoe
Michael Rooker
Michael Gambon
Harvey Keitel
John C. Reily
Peter Serafinowicz
Simon Pegg (But only really in Edgar Wright's movies.)
Rutger Hauer
Edie Falco
80's/90's Sigourney Weaver

And I could keep going. Not a lot of women in there, I suppose, but what can I say...

Dani DeVito, Robert De Niro, Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo "no Oscar" DiCaprio, and Bill Murray are the ones that come to mind immediately. I could spend all day listing actors I think are excellent if I put my mind to it though.

Yeah, he seems like a pretty chill dude. Another actor I really like is Lance Henriksen. He's really getting into his senior years now but he played a lot of different roles equally convincing. I liked him particularly in the TV show Millennium. He also seems like really nice guy.

I also really like Anne Hathaway. What can I say? Charming and beautiful. :p

I haven't seen his name yet, but my fav actor is Ron Perlman. He brought Hellboy to life for me, and got me interested in the comics. I make it a point to watch the movies he's in, even the terrible ones.

Two at the moment are Christoph Waltz and Chriss Hemsworth (as Thor, really digging his Thor!)
There are many others, but those two were the two that popped into my mind when I read the topic headline.

Actress: Ellen Page - especially in Whip It, Juno, and Inception.

Actor: it'd be a tie between Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Cillian Murphy. The first two, in particular, can pretty much elevate any role and make a film watchable. The Centurion, f'instance, was rather shite, but Fassbender made his character compelling enough to stick with until the credits rolled.

I will watch and enjoy anything with Martin Sheen in it. Literally anything.
I actually really liked him as the villain in the Spawn movie. I think he did a good job.
