Adam Lambert as Lead Singer of Queen??

I'm one of those that didn't even know Queen kept going after Mercury passed on. Seen them play live at an event some time, but I thought it was in honor of him.
Oh well. Let them do as they wish. I'll just keep playing the classics.

I actually like Adam Lambert...

...however I like Queen and love Freddie Mercury a hell of a lot more. So while I don't doubt he'd be good, you just... you don't replace Freddie! You just don't. That should be one of the fucking Commandments or something, you just don't pull that shit.

I didn't actually know who Adam Lambert was until I googled him, and then I nearly hulked out, An American Idol runner-up?!?! How could this travesty happen?

But then I decided to look up Youtube to see his singing ability, and... well...

Actually, that's pretty good. He's got a nice, powerful singing voice, which sounds enough like Mercury's to be faithful to Queen without sounding overly like an imitation IMO.

Freddy's gone, people. Accept it - I know it's hard (the guy was amazing), but complaining that "he's not Freddy" is pointless.
