G4TechTV era X-play, Icons, Judgement Day, and Anime Unleashed. I miss that era so badly. Why did they have to get a new CEO who knows dick about video games?

G4 lost the appeal it once had when it stopped showing video game stuff and started up with the star trek, cops, and samurai showdown or whatever the hell it's called.

Adam Sessler does have a god complex though. He's a lightweight in the video game world and most game journalist take him for what he is...a person more interested in tv and appearance than video games. When G4 finally goes down the drain, it will take him with it.

no it went down hill when techtv and g4 merged, techtv was an amazing and awesome tv station. g4 always sucked but Paul Allen wanted to trim some fat and sold off techtv and it became overly crappy and started showing mostly video game shows and everything about games and nothing about the awesome tech shows it used to show

Last time anyone heard from her was on MTV. I think she does news updates for them now.

X-play was better when it was more about humor and games, and less about news that everyone already knew. Their preview of RE:Outbreak and review of Lifeline are just a few epicly hilarious (and childish.=P) moments.

I'm sorry but they had no idea what they were talking about. One of them criticized a GAMECUBE game for not having online play.

I don't know the tone they were using, but if it was "It's too bad this doesn't have online play", then it's a valid argument.. I don't know what game it was for.. if it was for an FPS, then the argument is sound again - in the era post Xbox Live, not having online is a detriment in an FPS.. I'm sure he knew that the gamecube itself didn't support online play except for a select few Japanese games, and was more just commenting that the game would have been better if Online play were possible.

That being said, I never saw the review, and I don't know the game you're referring to, so he may have just been stupid.

I admit he's a pretty cool guy, but I kinda liked him more when he acted like an idiot. And I DEFINETLY liked Morgan more when she acted like an evil *****, and not a piece of card board.

I miss the old X-Play (especially Ratty, he kicked ass).

I agree but the new x-play does have a few nice things like they get more in depth interviews with developers. But all in all the old x-play was a lot better and funnier.

and there's a really good chance nintendo promised online play and didn't deliver which was common place for nintendo in those days. but that's what made the show good. you got 2 reviews. the pros. the cons from 2 point's of view. not just a one sided ***** fest xplay dishes out.

Ya it was because back then they knew they were a bunch of geeks and just played that up. Their shows were actually really funny and I miss all the old skits they did on x-play that was basically the entire point of the show. Now though they seem to have forgotten what made them so much fun to watch and just do whatever they want.

Honestly, I say that we start a petition to get the old shows back and take off that crap that's on there now. Get rid of Cheaters, Wacked out Videos, Star Trek, Cops, Chasers war on Everything, and Lost, along with some others and bring back some of the old shows like Icons and Ep. If enough people petition then they should notice.

You left out one thing. The channel going off the air for regular cable users was another problem. The only way you can watch it now is if you have satellite or a cable box.

See i have Direct TV so I didn't notice when they did it. I think it's time Spike TV start showing more Gametrailers TV, Game head and some other game and tech related stuff. it's time to put the nail in the G4 coffin
