now i know there's a lot of this in many shows. after recently watching over the animaniacs in particular, i noticed a lot of sexual jokes that i never understood as a child, but laughed profusely at now that i'm much older.

i remember another one that sticks out much more in my mind. does anyone remember an episode of the magic school bus where arnold kills himself? now he doesn't actually kill himself cuz it turns out it was a dream. in the space exploration episode, they finally get to Pluto, and Arnold becomes angry at the group for some reason so he pulls off his space helmet to prove some kind of point (can't remember what). his head completely freezes solid instantaneously (ignoring the theory of explosive decompression) and he then wakes up in class.

it never dawned on me as a kid when he did this, now that i'm older i realize "holy shit, he actually would've killed himself"

what are some adult or just more mature themes from kids shows that you never understood, but understand now? are they funny to you? or do you find it shocking that they would put such things in a kids TV show.

In "The Mask" there was a scene where Jim Carrey makes balloon animals and at one point when reaching for another balloon he pulls out a used condom, laughs and throws it away. Yeah that went so far over my head it was a fucking satellite, I just thought it was a chewed up balloon or something

here is the clip

Rocko's Modern Life. Man was that show chalked full of them. I'd watch it with my dad and he'd bust up over something and refuse to explain it.

Animaniacs.
I hated that show as a child because I really didn't understand anything.

Rocko's Modern life had oodles of things that I never even came close to picking up on, though I still enjoyed the show.

These videos should get just about everything. Especially considering I loved animaniacs as a kid and Batman (because who doesn't?).
(Seriously, that batman clip is filled with SO much innuendo in so little time.)
