Hello fellow Escapists, long time no see. Simple one this, how many of you have advent calendars? What age do you think is an appropriate age to stop getting them? What is on your advent calendar?

I'm 20 and have a Captain America one...

Never an age to stop. Just keep getting them. MOAR CHOCOLATE! :D

I have a Cadbury one. I tried to keep to the dates, but looking for 1 specific number in the mornings is hard for me, so I just grab the next one along the row.

I always have advent calendars, but never the fancy chocolate ones.

Eh, I don't really have a special one or anything, just one that I printed off the Intarwebz and glue a new picture to every day. It's a good reminder if nothing else, and just a little something that makes this place feel a bit more like home.

I don't really see the point anymore.

Though I don't care for christamas either.

But anyways, don't care about what other people think. IF you like having an advent calendar, get one.

I'm 18 and I have a Winnie the Pooh advent calendar, I don't actually remember how I got it I just woke up with it after a night out, along with a Guinness beer mat, no idea how the two even came together. As for the age limit I don't necessarily think there is one, you could have them cos they're sentimental, or just because it's funny :D

What are they? Sickapedia is full of jokes about them, so I can only assume it's some kind of british thing that happens in December. Calendars full of chocolate, maybe? That sounds awesome, we should do that.

I have a Doctor Who one.

Not out of choice, my parents bought it for me, since they think I still like the show.

Ah well, the chocolate is... edible, at least.

They're all over America, I thought...

They're thick cardboard things with chocolate in 24 slots. One for each day of December to Christmas.

I don't get them. We use a traditional advent calendar, with art instead of chocolate.

To be fair, Alice in Wonderland is awesome no matter how old you are.

I have a Captain america one too, blood brothers forever.I get the feeling that cam across a bit intense. Any who I'm almost 19 and I don't plan on stopping getting them any time soon to be honest it boils down to buying chocolate and I don't think there should be an age limit on that.

I'm 21 and I have a Cadbury one. I wanted an MLP one but I couldn't find one anywhere >.>
Was gunna get Captain America instead but then i got given this one. Ah well, it's all good. ^^
My official Christmas countdown doesn't start until I open my first door so advent calendars are very important. As long as I can eat chocolate I shall have one!

Don't think there's anything wrong with having an advent calendar at any age. I'm 27 myself and I have a Lego Star Wars one and I can't tell you how giddy I was when a mini x-wing was behind yesterday's door!
