Do you know what time it is? Adventure Time...Talk!
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Adventure-Time

A discussion for Adventure Time fans who had seen the recent season 4 finale episode The Lich, and there theories and thoughts on what happened and will happen, ties to past episodes, and small details. If you haven't seen it, here it is:

Remember use spoilers wisely!

That Finn at the end looks so familiar....

I think that the ending is that basically Finn and Jake went to a parallel world and the ones at the end belong to that world and probably might meet up with them.

Other things:

They took the jewels from Ice King's crown. Do you think that there would be serious repercussions for this? Maybe the return of Simon Petrikov? I hope so.

Also, is it just me or is the metal armed Finn is a FMA Edward Elric reference? Oddly enough, Finn's Japanese VA happens to be Romi Paku AKA Edward Elric!
The Japanese VAs are veryfitting though.

Another thing is anyone disturbed by PB cutting the limbs off the little candy people? Anyone much more disturbed by half-faced Lich Billy?

Well for one thing I don't consider that other world to be "reality" due to that other Finn got a robot arm.
I thought it was quite funny that Lumpy Space Princess star thing turn out to be a fake well not part of the orbs of power.
I wasn't as creep out when BP cut the limbs of those tiny candy people as one of them said hello, kind of like they know it's an experiment?

Not sure what will happen to the Ice King without his gem of power but I knowe for one thing is that he can no longer make ice and fly.

Still I wonder what Lich goal is and also danm him for killing Billy!!!

I'm sorry, I have to ask...
You're the owner of the Adventure Time group, why are you not discussing such things in the group?

Is this some form of group advertising?
If it is, you're a genius.

OT:
I had absolutely no idea what was going on...

I don't think the Ice King will revert back to Simon because remember the Ice King has had his crown off before and nothing happens, he just can't use his ice powers. His beard is what allows him to fly. As far as Princess Bubblegum and the little candy people, I think that was just an experiment. Hopefully they'll explain more when the new season starts.

Moreover, the crystals weren't destroyed when the Enchiridion was destroyed. They were in a pile on the ground once Finn broke it.

Shouldn't you just add "WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS" in the title?
otherwise I'd wager everyone will have to use spoiler tags.
Grr curse Pendleton Ward for his terrible timing! the endings are always cliff hangers!
Perhaps finns from the alternate universes will have to work together to get rid of The Lich? then again that sounds like a crumby 60s comic book plot, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

But do we know what happens when he has his crown off for a long time? they took the jewels while he was sleeping, and he has no idea where they are. Chances are, he isn't getting them back anytime soon. So it is possible that he may revert back to Simon after long a period without the jewels. but if he does revert back to Simon, I don't think it'll be for very long. Those jewels are what are keeping him alive; Without them, he dies. So they'll probably only have the ice king be Simon long enough to have a touching reunion with Marceline.

About Fin and Jake:
I think that this alternate reality could be one of three things. Number one is that this is the universe where there was no war and this is what Finn and Jake's life would be like without everyone dead/mutated. Number two is this: Anyone here the theory of how Finn is making up this fake land in his brain to help him cope with the fact that he's the last human? Well this might be a step towards confronting this fact. The last thing is (and I don't think this is right) that these are just alternate Finn and Jakes and they will come into contact with the ones familiar to us.

Now concerning the Ice King:
I think if the Gem of Power is removed from the crown, then there is a possibility that the Ice King will revert back to Simon, seeing as how the crown that turns him into the what he is lost its power source. Or maybe it is just a long-term thing. But if this was the case, would maybe princess bubblegum and the other candy people turn back into just regular candy because of her Crown and loss of the Gem of Power?

Remember now though, when Simon originally got the crown it slowly turned him insane even though he wasn't wearing it. Even in I Remember You, in the flashback when Simon helps little Marceline he has the crown at his side, not on his head, and one of the videos during Holly Jolly Secrets Simon speaks of how he is starting to hear voices and see things even without wearing the crown. Simon became the ice king because of the single moment he put on the crown back before the great mushroom war while with Betty.

I'm well aware of this but I'm talking about if the crown itself loses power, not the crown simply being removed from his head. Again, it is just a theory.
