But it's the misleading commercials that can really piss you off. I tried Evony before they started their new "let's have a bunch of semi naked girls in our pictures" campaign, and if I had started after they started promoting the game with semi-naked women, I would have been pissed when I got to the game world and found out how you don't get to see semi-naked women, or any person for that matter, and how horribly slow the game is, thus making me hate the game for being misleading.ma55ter_fett said:those don't make you hate the game persay, they are just misleading.fun-with-a-gun said:Well there is always evony... someone would have said it.
Let's not forget the billions of prescription drug commercials. I never know what the drug does. All I get from the commercial is that you'll be happy and jumping on a trampoline with your new puppy.Frequen-Z said:I hate most adverts. I take the mentality of;
I know what I want, and what brand I want it in, I do not need people screaming at me to buy their shit.
More specifically though, injury lawyer adverts fuck me off something awful. While the clip of some fake accident is being played and voiced over by some fake person, the colour is washed out and the music is glum, then after the advert explains what they do and shit, the colour is over saturated the and music much nicer. It's possibly the least subliminal shit ever.
I have no idea and I don't really care to be honest. He's just a guy from an advert at the end of the day. Maybe it's similar to cold callers phoning you and starting the conversation with 'Hi, I'm whoever and although you have expressed no interest in our product, I'm still going to try and sell it to you.'Daystar Clarion said:I know that, but why is Barry Scott introducing himself as if his personal endorsment means something?
Why they got rid of the Gieco Gecko, I don't know.RamboStrategy said:AT&T and Verizon have awful ads, they're just slinging shit at each other and making themselves look like assholes. Seriously, I haven't heard anything but, "Verizon > AT&T" or "NO, AT&T >> Verizon" for over a year.
And any insurance commercial (ESPECIALLY Progressive) except Gieco.
Wow, all those commercials and not one thing about gaming.Chipperz said:
If you can't say anything good about your own product, it's probably shit.
I know. There must be something in the water in Sony's marketing departement. All Sony's advertisments are fucking insane or freaky.link670 said:PSP Squirrels...
