Khale was wandering down the aisles in the bazaar. Several men and women in eloquent outfits strode down the streets.
He went over to a small orange and purple tent. There was a hole cut through one of the sides of the tent, and a shrunken head hung inside of it.
As soon as Khale leaned in to ask if anyone was there, the head started to talk.
"Oy! What'chu doin' over ere' eh? Are yous tryin' to steal me radishes again Motley? I ought to put a dagger in yer throat!"
Khale jumped back from the window.
"Gah! What in the name of Nimbus are you!" He shouted.
The head simply swung left and right. Khale ran off from the tent, scared out of his mind.
After he found a *sane* vendor, and bought some more cards, and another steambow, Khale went back over near the gate.
He sat on a marble bench, and started setting up his steambow. He poured the coal in the boiler engine, lit the main torch, and then poured some water in the aqua tank.
The gate hissed, and then slid to the left to open.
Khale saw Azcyh, and waved at him.
"Hey!" He shouted, "How'd the rescue go?"

In a cold dark throne room, the wizard sat. A depiction of Aeros, made entirely out of fire floated before him.
One of his advisors, clad in dark red and gold robes leaned over towards the mage.
"I have located the artifacts.. They seem to be condensing in the city of Stalholme. You shall send for the Valkar mercernaries, and tell them to carry out their task." The wizard said.
The robed man simply nodded, and then slunk into the shadows.
The globe of fire burnt out in front of the wizard, and he too sank into the darkness.

After half a day's worth of steam-boot assisted travel, Zolph arrived at the gates of Stalholme.

"If you could let me in, please?" he half-shouted to the rather portly guardsman on gate duty.

"Yeah, sure." The guardsman lazily pulled the large lever to his left that opened the huge, reinforced gate.

"Thanks." Zolph quickly got on the other side of the gate, and took a good long look at the town before him. He hadn't been to Stalholme in quite a while, he realized. Suddenly, Zolph felt something hit his back.

"Ah!"

"Shorry 'bout that, mate," said a short, stout man with an especially full beard. On his shoulder he carried a sack of supplies, with which he had accidentally hit Zolph.

"No, no problem." Zolph felt his lips curl up, despite his attempt to hold back a smile. The little fellow looked quite ridiculous, with his short stature, large beard, and very loose robe-like clothing. "Actually, could I ask you something?"

"Yesh?" said the man with his thick accent.

"I was wondering if you knew where I could get a quick job or something. I'm really just looking for a way to make some coin."

"Oh, I dunno. You'll have to ashk around in the shops to shee if there's any work there. I shuppose for some quick earningsh you could help the shitty (city) guard catch any wanted criminals that are about. You get quite a nishe (nice) reward for getting one of 'em."

"Yes. Thanks a lot."

"No problem, shir." the man hobbled away, his stubby legs shortening his stride.

"I guess I should have a look at the 'Wanted' list, then." Zolph said to himself, and walked on in the direction of the city guard head office. Or at least, what he thought was the direction of the head office.

Perrin awoke the morning after the trial stiff and cramped, due to the rock for a bed they gave him. He went to the door where a morning meal was set. It was not stale as he thought it would be, but it wasn't very much. He looked to his window, which had metal bars reinforcing it. He noticed something about the bars that struck him as strange. They were rusted and.... loose. Perrin saw this as a way to get out, and he realized that the judge had forgotten to take his things away in the heat of the trial. He had a sword in his room. As he took a swing at the bar he yelled in his mind 'STOP YOU DUMBASS!' but it was too late, the sword hit the metal, and made a noise heard across half the city. His door banged open and a lone guard ran in with one fatal mistake, he was unarmed. Perrin pointed the sword at the guard and the guard froze. Perrin thought to himself 'What am I doing???'. He thought quickly and jumped out the shambled window. He grabbed onto a ledge on the building next to the inn. He was a good 50 feet up, enough to kill a small human such as himself. He prayed, then let go. About ten feet away from the ground he stabbed into the smooth wooden wall with his dagger and hung there, close to vomiting. He pulled out his dagger and fell the rest, and he started running, running fast.
Sorry about all the text, but I haven't been around for a while, so just needed to catch up

When Zolph arrived at the Stalholme guard's headquarters, he was taken aback by the madness going on in front of his eyes. From the many ragged shouts he overheard, Zolph learned that one of the prisoners had just escaped. Seeing an opportunity for some easy money, Zolph caught the attention of one of the flustered guards.

"Hello, sir. I see you're in something of a mess. Maybe I could help out?"

"Yes, definitely. Er, the prisoner headed out that way," said the guard, pointing east. "We need all the help we can get. He shouldn't be hard to spot - quite a ragged-looking guy, carries a dagger, obviously a thief. If you manage to get him, you can be sure that you will be rewarded handsomely."

"I'll do my best." Zolph said cooly, making no effort to hide the smug smirk on his face. He confidently reached to his steam-boots, revved them up, and started off for the prisoner.

Perrin got up, dusted off and started running for his brothers house, where he believed he could make refuge.

He heard the sound off bells and yelling in the distance, he had already been found out. "Dammit," he said aloud, "Why can't these guards leave me alone for a change."

He was running down a crowded street, trying to get lost in the crowd. He ducked quickly into a alley that lead to the next road and took a short rest, he had been sprinting about 10 minutes. When he regained his energy he began running again.

After a while he stopped running. He thought he had lost them, but as he thought that, he heard guards behind him. He was spotted. 'NO!' he thought 'How will I ever lose them now?! There's nothing here but--' he stopped thinking. There was someone in front of him.

It was Zolph.

Zolph blinked. Was that really him?

He blinked again. It was definitely Perrin.

"Er...Hello, Perrin. Didn't realize you were here too. I just thought I could make some money here, so I'm chasing this thief who broke out of jail. Got a pretty nice ransom on his head. Maybe you've seen him?"

As he talked, Zolph remembered the guard's description of the escapee and looked intently at Perrin's slim figure. Could the person he was chasing after be right in front of him?

'Grah.... can I really trust him?' Perrin thought to himself. "Look, I swear I didn't do anything, please step out of the way I'm in a hurry." he said in a quick breath.

'C'mon, move!' Perrin thought to himself. Would Zolph betray him to make a quick buck?

OOC: Really sorry about the lack of posting. I kind of ...forgot.

And so, after the longest pause in history, Azcyh says to Khale "The rescue went fine. Have you seen Perrin..."

As he said that, he noticed two people standing in an allyway. "Khale, those two look familiar?"

OOC: Sorry.. I was waiting for a response from Azazcyh.

"Yes.. They do look quite familiar." Khale said.

He sat up from the bench, and ran towards the two.
"Hey! You two there!" Khale shouted at them.

Zolph stared blankly at Perrin.

He hadn't known the guy for too long, but it did not feel right to haul him in purely for money. Besides, Zolph had a feeling Perrin was wrongly accused.

Zolph turned to make an opening for Perrin when he heard a familiar voice shouting.

"Hey! You two there!" he heard vaguely.

Turning around, Zolph laid his eyes upon two figures he had no expectation of seeing - Khale and Azych.

A small grin on his face, he shouted, "Time for a reunion already!"

"You could say that." Azcyh said as they walked closer towards the two. "Say, Perrin, does the name "Garet" mean anything to you?" Azcyh asked.
