I know its too earlier to even start saying anything about what is after Assassins Creed III but i really would like to know or at least dream about what may be.

I would love for the game after Assassins creed III to feature in victorian Britain. Assassins Creed III is supposed to be the end for Desmond and his crew, unless ubisoft pull something out of the magical character milking hat, so the story will have to go to a new modern day assassin. There are bound to be other assassins cells lurking around the world so they could likely have an animus.

There are millions of places Assassins creed could go. They have the whole of history to play with. you might be able to play as one of the assassins ther were in the sanctuary in Ezio's villa. You never know maybe there were templar dinosaurs and they were behind the dinosaurs getting wiped out, and you play as an assassin dinosaur assassinating templar dinosaurs.

So what would you like for the game after Assassins Creed III?

(A year or two break after AC III would probably be beneficial because then they would be turning into Activision.)

I was thinking about a Victorian AC the other day. They could have Sherlock Holmes as the Da Vinci style sidekick, and maybe even Jack the Ripper as a Templar.

Isn't AC3 supposed to be the end of Desmond's story? It'd be kind of hard to top the urgency of

Desmond having to stop the Sun from destroying the Earth... again

Sure, they can keep pumping out AC games after but it would have to be a new premise. At that point, it would seem like a Ubisoft money grab (well, more so than usual).

Oh and I sincerely hope you were joking about "Templar dinosaurs"...

Sherlock Holmes isn't a real person though. But I agree Victorian England would be cool.

I also think Nazi-occupied Paris would be really cool as well. Now I know that people are thinking 'oh not WW2 again!' but just think about how awesome it would be! Free running across Paris, jumping off the top of the Eiffel Tower, assassinating Nazis! Have the Nazis be involved with the Templars, and you're an Assassin who's a part of the French Resistance. I think that'd be awesome!

Ancient Greece or Ancient Rome. I've no idea how it'd be plot relevant, I just think it'd be a cool environment to play in.

After Assassins Creed 3, there will be Assassins Creed: not-at-all-memorable-subtitle for a couple more years

But you'd have no support from the allies, since Churchill, Roosevelt, and even Stalin and Hitler were all Templars

After Desmond they will probably pull out another character that want's to learn about his ancestors through the animus 3.5 or something.

Something like that was tried. I think that a guerrilla-style game would be fun, but it is a poor fit for the Assassin's Creed series. I hated how in Revelations you had enough bombs, bullets, throwing knives, and crossbow bolts to murder everyone within half a block of where you were standing, because it took out the challenge of sneaking up close enough for a hidden-blade kill. I am already worried about the American Revolutionary War in the new one, and the guns of World War II would only exacerbate the problem.

OT: They are definitely going to keep milking it. I hope they ditch Desmond for someone else, and maybe have us play though other conspiracies in varied ancient-to-medieval places. India would be favorite, just because I've never seen a game set there, and the rich history of religious conflict would be the perfect backdrop.

I'm not; that would be awesome on a level incomprehensible to mortal man.

Eeesh... even for an Assassin that's going to be murder on the knees...(!)

Like I've mentioned before, this could be an ideal strategic planning point on the part of the developers, because they could so easily do like ACII and tack a couple of follow up games to ACIII (by setting them during the 1789-1815 time period). Have the Ancestor as a fresh-faced kid of 15-ish in 1775 (young enough to be full of ideals, old enough to fight effectively) and he'll be hobbling it like Ezio come St Helena (maybe end with a line of 'I'm too old for this shit' before daubing poison on the wallpaper 'cos he can't be bothered to fight, he can then leave to his waiting ship after a nice long conversation/cut-scene/anti-climax with Stephane Cornicard!).

I agree... but I think there's going to be a return to valuing the silent kill (lay stress on the words 'I think'... or rather 'I hope'), since they've been spewing off on how the new Ancestor's supposed to be 'as a predator'... *shrug* we'll see. I'm rather hoping the enemies are bit less oblivious since you could run around killing anyone you wished from ACB onwards without raising an eyebrow from anyone else...

Unfortunately, though, it looks enticing enough for me to put on my list of 'to-pre-order' so... shoot me now, if you would...

I would love for them to Wrap up the Animus story line, then they could keep making AC games but putting them in a different setting each time, keeping things fresh. We could visit Victorian London, Fuedal Japan, Ancient Egypt and all that jazz. without it having to tie in with desmond, Ezio and the Animus.

I'd really like that but I may be alone.
