Hello, many of you might have noticed that there was another RP with the same premise. Well, the GM for that RP left, and me, as the Co-GM, and the remaining members of the RP have decided to remake it in a new thread. I have taken over as regular GM. Now, this is the first RP I have ever GMed, so please bare with me if I make a few amateur mistakes.
The world is gone. The world has change. The world was destroyed. Nothing is left but rubble, dust and memories. No matter how you saw the world before, being a pessimist or an optimist, humanity has done its toll on itself. The world is gone and no one, not even god, can save you. So, what will you do? Will you strive to live and survive? Will you help everyone you meet? Or will you stay to destroy the world even more, like no other evil being has before. Choose your way, no matter how you play, the world will not cease to be this way. Live your life the way you want to, and leave people in the dust dead or alive.
The basic set up for the story is that all of the members are in a small settlement on the east coast of the United States. Some of you can be in a group if you want to be, but you have to agree on both sides how, but except for those people, none of the characters know each other. Each of you will find each other quickly, but not immediately.

Name: Joseph Terminus

Alliance/Moral: Neutral

Appearance: Large build, six foot four inches tall, long black hair, one black eye and one blue eye, a large black cloak, destroyed jeans, and a torn black shirt.
Items: Squirrel meat (two of the fluffy bastards worth), several different books, ranging from Roadside Picnic to Metro 2033, but all of them have some relevance to his situation, and a box containing the butt of his empty shells.
Weapon: A normal sawed-off double barrel shotgun, but modified to fire one handed and rotate four barrels (one barrel on top of another, and two barrels at a time).
Special powers: The ability to infuse his shells with the elements of fire, electricity, and darkness.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Is effected greatly by water and extreme light, causing nausea, headaches, lethargy, pain, and death under extended amounts.
Bio: Born to a cult, Joseph was named after the figure from the Bible, and his last name was of some dead language. It was to be given to the child that would bring about a second end to the world, one that was supposed to kill all, and succeed. Joseph, however, disregarded this as just a myth of his forefathers and continued on in life, leaving the strange cult when he was sixteen. He traveled on his own for years, finding that most places that held books where left almost entirely intact and that they could be used to kill time, of which he had plenty.
He soon found that he also had a love for movies, odd, as he had never seen one, just the posters and boxes he found in abandoned homes that he used to sleep in. He found one series to be especially nice looking, namely Mad Max, so he adopted the shotgun, modified it to be better, and even made a mechanism that allowed him to have four barrels instead of two. He collected the back of the red and green shells to have with him, as a hobby, if you will. He drifted like this for almost ten years, never giving either credence or falsehood to his name, stopping at the occasional settlement for a few months before moving on to the next.

Appearance: Erich is average height, well muscled, clean shaven, has very pale skin and bleached blond hair. He wears a black singlet, a deep red collared shirt that is usually unbuttoned, black leather pants, a large black trench coat and some old converse shoes.
Items: In a backpack Erich has a some canned food, some water, some ammo for his revolver, a whet stone, a first aid kit and some other random things like rope, tape, grip and the like.
Weapon: Erich carries a Smith and Wesson 50. revolver and a large bowie knife.
Special powers: The control of what he calls 'The Darkness'. This allows Erich to turn any part of his body into a weapon, his arm into a blade or something similar, he can also fire it as a projectile but this leaves him weakened. Erich can even change his whole body into a 'Shadow Being', making himself faster, stronger and more potent in combat.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Erich is very susceptible to sunlight, burning him almost instantly and killing him if he stays exposed to long, and as protection he usually has a thin layer of Darkness on his skin.
Bio: Erich was born into a small settlement and to an average family. Everything was fine until he started to burn rapidly when outside in the sun light and one day the burn became so bad that he was taken to a doctor and as the doctor examined him his skin blackened and became impenetrable. His condition worsened until one night the Darkness subsided and he returned home. The next day he was taken by the Darkness again. This started to happen every night until Erich's parents woke to their teenage son replaced by a large black physical shadow. Erich had been taken over by the 'Darkness' and as a result killed his parents and most of the people in the settlement.
Ever since that day Erich has been traveling from place to place trying to atone for his killings.

Alliance/Moral: Evil / Neutral - Dane is pushed by the thoughts of his second personality Higginson.
Gender: Male
Appearance: Dane is short for his age only about 5"6 with long dark brown hair, his eyes are a crystal blue and his smile seems cracked. Wearing baggy sweat pants and torn straitjacket.
Items: Pack of Playing Cards, Small Tin of Tuna, Bottle of Everclear, Lighter and Pair of Hand Cuffs.
Weapon: An assortment of needles filled with many different toxins and other liquids.
Special powers: Dane's constant fight with madness has given him the ability to bring out the evil in others and forcing them into a inward battle with themselves, while this battle goes on Dane can control the target. Victory will result in regaining control of their own body but failing to defeat their evil self will result in death.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Dane is of two minds on everything and is always on edge. Simple things can set him in a raging argument with his other half which can cause him to pass out from lack of air.
Bio: Dane has a lack of memory of most of his life just small flashes of who he used to be. Waking up in a padded cell after the world ended he spent months living off what would crawl into his cell. Unable to escape his padded prison Dane's mind soon fell apart creating a alternate personality he calls Higginson and sealing all his dark thoughts in that half of his mind.
Dane was awoken by Higginson one morning to find bandits raiding the prison, while Dane was frightened and wanted to hide Higginson took over and killed everyone when they opened his cell. Now Dane travels looking for some sense in this world.

Weapon: A custom semi-automatic high powered rifle, also linked to her power (read below). Knife.
Special powers: She has control over the element of fire. Besides being able to start a campfire with a touch of her finger, she may also imbue her rifle rounds with the power of fire, for maximum damage. Also prone to start accidental wildfires.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Needs sunlight as much as she need food and water. Without it she will become tired and dizzy, and will eventually die. Direct exposure is not needed, mildly foggy weather works too, although unaltered sunlight is preferred. She dislikes cold, but can handle it, aslong as there's enough light.
Bio: Having never known her real parents, Lilith grew up under relatively safe premises, under the protection of an elderly couple. They lived in a small safe haven, a still living forrest. The old man and woman told her they had found her walking through the woods when she was very little. She had had traces of ash and scratch-wounds over the better parts of her body, and when they asked her her name, she had only said "Lilith". Of course, she remembered none of this, and only has a faint memory of the sound of fire burning when she thinks of the time before she met the old couple.
Her guardians soon learned not to put her near anything flamable, at least not at first. They also realized her need for sunlight, and the old man cut down some trees around the cottage, to make the sun shine through more. When she grew older, she learned to control her ability more, largely encouraged by the old ones.
She often strolled around the forest, and one faithful day she bumped into some raiders, searching the forest for anyone to rob, rape and murder. Although Lilith could barely be called a woman at the time, these were the kind of men who thought "Pedophilia" was a type of cheese, and didn't have the words "morals" or "ethical values" in their vocabularies.
Before she had even realized what was going on, however, a large gray long haired dog appeared, attacking the raiders. When they were killed, or were running off, the dog approached her and looked at her as if expecting a reward. She stroked his fur, and since that moment they became friends. She gave him the name 'Kyle', a name that popped up in the back of her head from sometime long ago, as she comforted the animal. After that moment the dog rarely left her side.
When she returned to the cottage to tell her adoptive parents of her new found friend, she found the old ones murdered, and the cottage ruined, presumably by the raiders from before. She wept for a long time, but was soon forced to leave, due to accidentally setting the forest on fire.
That was a few years ago, and she has been traveling ever since.

Alliance/Moral: Mostly neutral- sees morality as a point of view and self interest must come first.
Gender: Male
Appearance: At 6'2 and lanky Germain is a hard one to miss. He has medium length brown hair and light green eyes. He constantly wears a long lightly torn, tattered and loose fitting yellow coat with a simple pair of tan pants.
Items: Carries ammo, a oil lantern, lighter fluid, a lighter, and some other odds and ends in a drawstring bag
Weapon: A customized revolver with that holds 9 rounds and an extended muzzle for range ugly to look at but gets things done, stolen during one of his jobs. He also always carries a knife attached to a spring loaded mechanism up his sleeve ready for deployment at any moment.
Special powers: Shadow Manipulation - Germain has control over his shadow which can interact with the physical world, meaning that it can pick up and move things, or if he wishes, attack someone while having it still maintain it's 2D form.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Germain needs a light source and some kind of surface in order to cast a shadow before he can do anything with his powers, also his shadow has gained a 'mind' of it's own meaning that when he isn?t paying attention it may start doing things of it's own accord. Also, socially his history has left him un-trusting of other people and flighty.
Bio: Germain was found, freshly born and abandoned, in a small secluded settlement at the base of a mountain. He was adopted by a widowed and respected woman and lived an average life and was even given a rudimentary education but eventually his powers surfaced when he was 17 after he got into a fight with another kid and witnesses claimed it was like he was being pummeled by an unseen demon. At first he was simply shunned by everyone but soon Germain was blamed by the townsfolk for anything they could and they riled up a mob to kill him and his adoptive mother, she heard of this ahead of time and told Germain to run away after gathering supplies him up supplies.
He managed to escape but could never return to his home, while on the run he realized that through concentration he could control his shadow, and will it to do what he wanted. With this under control he moved on to the next town, unfortunately he was unable to find anyone willing to deal with him and give him work but eventually fell in with a group of thieves and took on the trade quickly with his special abilities being a great asset. The group jumped from town to town with Germain working his way up the ranks and learning valuable tricks, such as sleight of hand and dirty fighting. After traveling with the gang for some time he left on good terms, looking to branch out on his own.

Appearance: Black hair that goes down to just above his feet, tall, blue eyes. wears what
only white with blue detail and ovoisly without the wings and the weapon.
Items: A repair kit e.g. wrench, hammer, nuts and bolts etc.

Special powers: When he touches somthing he instantly learns how to use it to its full potential e.g. he touches a revolver he becomes an expert shot with it.

Alliance/Morals: Chaotic Neutral, believes that some evils are necisary for survival and the good she does will outweigh the bad, also believes slavery and other inhuman acts can be rationalized under certain conditions.

Appearance:Mary has shoulder length black hair, a scar over her nose and boots,a black skirt with a red and gray top, she was also born with Heterochromia giving her one brown eye(right) and one blue eye(left).
Items: Skirt attached ammo pouches, a half full canteen, and Various preserved foods.
Weapon: Mary has a custom red colored M1911 fitted for more rapid fire, and her father's sniper rifle labeled with her mother's initials K.A. which comes with a large bayonet attachment.
Special powers: Like her recently deceased father Mary was born with amazing agility, she's fast and very agile, leaping her own height and scaling walls with the slightest of ease, she also has pinpoint accuracy due to her 'special eyes'.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Just as she was born with her father's skills she was born with her mother's weakness a weak heart meaning over exertion of her talents or prolonged actions will cause a heart attack or heart failure.
Bio: Mary was born to her father Amadeus Aiken and her mother Katrina in a small settlement, Mary's mother died of a heart attack when Mary was very young. From that day her father had became a wanderer leaving her in the care of Tony Redgrave the town's sheriff, he raised her as his own until at the age of nineteen she left to track down her missing parents on the way she perfected her skills and her adopted father's lessons paid off. After 3 years she found a lead to her father's current hideout and they had a very joyous reuninion and she learned of her mother's fate. They had each other until one of her father's enemies found their home and killed her father, she took her father's rifle and used it to gut his killer when his back was turned, from that day on Mary wanders aimlessly righting wrongs or wronging rights trying to make sense of her life.

Special powers: Like her recently deceased father Mary was born with amazing agility, she's fast and very agile, leaping her own height and scaling walls with the slightest of ease, she also has pinpoint accuracy due to her 'special eyes'.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Just as she was born with her father's skills she was born with her mother's weakness a weak heart meaning over exertion of her talents or prolonged actions will cause a heart attack or heart failure.
Bio: Mary was born to her father Amadeus Aiken and her mother Katrina in a small settlement, Mary's mother died of a heart attack when Mary was very young. Appearance: Black hair reaching his shoulders and blue eyes. Medium muscle build and 5'6 height. He wears a dirty black coat and a brown leather belt connects his ragged jeans and a black tank-top together. In his belt he carries series of bags and pouches holding bandages and other materials he has collected. Another belt is strung across his chest from left to right and holds a combat knife and a few other pouches.
Items: Carries around a couple of cigarette packs and a zippo lighter in his pouches along with his combat knife, a flash light, some batteries, bandages and a few syringes and a bottle of morphine. In the pouches on his chest-belt he carries magazines and spair bullets for his pistols.

Special powers: Adrenaline rush. Able to move as fast as a leopard and his keen sences increase undoubtedly. Afterwards his stamina is substantially drained and his strength weakened.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Arachnophobia and doesnt like tight spaces or heights. Smokes more than is thought to be unhealthy.
Bio: Jerimiah wasn't always a fighter. He was once a writer and lived and worked with his master in a giant mansion. It wasn't too bad. He came from a poor family and living in a free house with great food for only a few pages or ideas for his master to use in his books was something he thought to be a good deal. Jerimiah was soon called Lli by most of the people that came by, simply because most of them were from the Eastern provinces and thought it to be easier.
But Jermimiah also had a great deal of practice wielding guns from his previous years on the street. Fighting for survival until his master found him and his pages and offered him a job. A few years in a grande mansion become tiresom and therefor he decided to expand his traits to ancient weaponry, and a good thing too because his master held many of them in his mansion for display.
Jerimiah practiced with one of his master's swords and once the great cataclysm hit, his master lay dead in the stairs. Killed by a simple thing; falling down the stairs.
After the world changed, Jerimiah ditched the mansion. He figured it would sooner rather than later be a grande pillaging spot and decided to gather all the supplies he deemed neccessary and skit on out of there.
