I have always been a big fan of strategy games that make you control miniature people that gather resources to upgrade you world, and if you are a major fan of games like that then you have maybe played Age of Empires II. The game is manly you controlling mini people to upgrade your ?KINGDOM? to where you can overrule your enemies. The game also has a mode where you can play in a different kingdom?s story, and they also have a death match where you can choose a race and upgrade you kingdom to its maximum point. The first thing I noticed when I started playing is that there are buildings that can upgrade Soldiers, buildings, or trade. The game did offer a more realistic in game battles, arrows can miss a target and the damage is not always the same. The one cool thing about the game is the age upgrade system that can allow you to get new units or new buildings to get new units that can fight build or can do scouting. But all people can take multiple tasks so you can have one person hunting, farming, and fighting, or you can have him do one thing only
The thing that wasn?t realistic is the rate that buildings can be made a house made by a single person can be built in 30 seconds to 1 minute. The graphics are poor but I don?t blame it sense the game came out in 1999 but the way it was made excused the lack of graphics. The thing that was the funniest about the game is the map editor mode where you can put resources in certain places take away resources and editing the way the land looks. There are 13 different races you can choose from the difference is the way the kingdoms look the houses may look different the way people talk can be different or the types of buildings they can make, and I?m ok with different just no completely all right with it.
And games that seem mostly like they are repeating them self every time you start a game this don?t repeat game play it only pushes it more in your face to the point when you like it I learned that 4 hours into its mind control game play. The game has multilayer but I can?t seem to find out how to work it to when it finds someone so I will leave multilayer alone. The way you play can completely change the way the game acts toward you it can be very hard when you don?t want it to or it can be too easy when you want a challenge at the tip of your toes. Over all the game is worth getting to play it for the gameplay feel. One last thing that is pretty annoying is the fact that you have to put the game in the computer to make the game work.
