Okay that makes more sense, the UK site works for me.
I doubt my laptop can even play it to be honest, but hell, for that price I'd be stupid not to just get it.

On a similar note, Galactic Civilization 1 is going for .99 as well as Total Annihilation for $5 on Impulse. I've not played GC, but TA is the reason why I don't care about Starcraft.

You have to download the client.
Works for me. Thank you! (and the OP of course)
What is this client you speak of?

I'm absolutely not trying to hijack this thread, but did anyone else find it amusing about the DRM involved?

They really feel the need to protect a 10 cent game? :D

Not a real issue, I just think it's kind of funny, is all.

anyways, just as an update, if you're having trouble, check the country you're logged in as, the original link was Canada, but it's only 10p in the UK also, here:

http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-GB/dailydeal/day7/
Its a sale.
When the sale ends it will be normal price again.

It'd be kinda stupid to remove the DRM just for the games sold for the 10c price only to re-enable it after the sale.
Hell I don't know if that's really possible, but if it is I'd be willing to bet it wouldn't be worth the effort.

Hmm... Where's the CD key? I can't see it anywhere. What do I do?
Also this. I've gotten to a stage in the installation where it asks for a CD key which I havn't been sent. I can't see it in the confirmation e-mail, does it come in a later e-mail or something?

This is the complete edition by the way. Also, you get the CD key in the client while it is downloading.

Found it. When downloading in the client go to the Downloads then full games, and then there should be a V button that says view game keys. You may have to retry download to see it.

I don't even know if I can run it or even wanted the damn game.

But I had a balance of 10 MS points, and now it's finally 0 again!

It's a steal, even if I end up hating the game.

Obviously it's a way to get people to download Games for Windows Live on their computer... but dang... 10 Microsoft Points for a $40 game? I can't pass that up.

"There are no refunds for this item. Digital Rights Management Disclosure. This software uses digital rights management software (?DRM?). DRM may limit the number of times you are permitted to install this software on a computer and/or the number of computers to which you may install the software. To function properly, DRM downloads certain data and files to your computer, which may or may not be uninstalled when you uninstall the software."

For those who don't get it: there's no multiplayer and the game comes with a virus and absolutely no guarantee of it functioning.

It's also 10 cents, hell I've paid a pound or two for games at car boot sales, there's sure no guarantees there, but you take the risk.

Not that there's any risk, it's exactly the same game that was $30 last week.

I know I made a snarky comment about the DRM myself, but that was more 'it's just kinda funny that there's stuff in place to protect a 10 cent game', I know it's really protecting a $30 one.

You make your own choice tho, if you don't want a 10 cent game because of DRM, then no-one will force you to buy :D

I do agree that "To function properly, DRM downloads certain data and files to your computer, which may or may not be uninstalled when you uninstall the software." is a crappy piece of software however. But here is not a place to argue over DRM, it's a place to celebrate life, love, happiness and stupid cheap GOOD games!

Nice find, is this this a digital download or a CD/DVD shipment? LOL I bet this is a silly question to most. >_<
Digital download, unfortunately... I've been having trouble with it myself.
