Might've already been mentioned, but the Reality stone has been in the movies. The Aether from Thor 2 was revealed as the Reality stone somewhere (Kevin Fiege's twitter I think). So we've seen Power (GotG), Reality(T:TDW) and Space(Cap America & Avengers) and possibly Mind (maybe Loki's staff). My guess is Soul will be used by Dr. Strange - does he not have an amulet called the Eye of something? Sounds like something that could be made an Infinity Stone for the movies. So could the Obelisk be Time? Maybe. Although I'd imagine time travel is going to be too much even for the MCU, so they might make it something slightly different.

If Simmons turns out to be "true evil" and not just running as a double-agent, I think it would be an interesting twist that she intentionally damaged Fitz, or maybe even cooler, is PROJECTING herself into his consciousness, essentially making him think he's crazy (or crazier than he actually is).

There probably is some understandable reason for her to do so if it is indeed true, but I'm having a hard time believing Simmons just straight-up turns evil, especially since it was Ward that almost killed her. My guess is espionage using a supposed hatred of Shield as cover to dig up some interesting stuff for a (mid)season finale reveal, though Kraken probably shows up and is all like "You zink I haven't known vhat you were up to? Silly girl."
We know memories can be altered, what if HYDRA has gained access to something like that?
I don't know... It could be, but HYDRA having that power would open the question of why not use it on some higher up characters, like May, Coulson or Talbot...
My guess is that they offered the technology to fix Fitz. Its cliche, but I don't have any other explanation outside of "because of comics magic"

Maybe the obelisk is the Time gem and one of the twists of Agent Carter is that it sends Coulson or Skye back in time...

I'd put money on the obelisk being the Zodiac Key, and they might be setting up someone to be Fury's Brother for season 3.

It's because he's kinda based on Hitler. He and J.J.J are both based on Hitler, since both were supposed to be the antagonistic relics of the past that tried to force their way on the protagonist. It's the same reason most "Dad" characters in British comics look like Hitler. It's an easy evil look.

So far I'm liking Season 2 very much. I don't think Simmons is Hydra though, I think she's undercover or something the like.
Hmm, I see the comic originals are inspired like that too, then!
Still, that doesn't make it much cheaper indeed. The easiest evil look...
