Now, let me start off stating this isn't a hate thread. I've noticed quite a few religious threads lately, mostly aimed at Atheists. Now, all the atheists and misc religious groups seem to argue and the agnostics come in and say "Just go agnostic", and nobody seems to care. Now, just because agnosticism is not an organized religion (some would say it isn't a religion at all, but a grouping for people with personal beliefs) does that give them the right to say "Just go agnostic" as though they're the words of wisdom that the extreme ends of the spectrum (atheists----christians, muslims, ect) don't "seem" to comprehend? Now, I've teetered back and forth on religion and ended up settling down as what I like to call an "analytical christian", but I've been in a spot where I called myself agnostic, and looking back, I realize I did the same thing. Now I'm not trying to say agnostics are wrong, but why do they get the cop-out a lot of the time?

No one has the right to tell anyone what to believe. No one is right, no one is wrong. Religion is based on belief and opinion.

Stop these threads.

Religious threads are so fucking played out right now. I'm an agnostic, doesn't mean i'm indecisive just means I don't believe any of the other stuff out there myself.

Higher beings? cool.

Them teaching us through hypocritical written prose? unlikely.

no-one else is wrong, i just disagree.

so yeah...

You're adding to it by making yet another religion thread. I'm a Catholic, but seeing two or three of the same type of religion thread in the hot thread column tends to piss me off.

Religion threads are generally frowned upon, and so many in such a short time is asking for moderator wrath.

I don't recall seeing any agnostics explicitly tell others to become Agnostic.

I also don't consider the admittance of not knowing for a fact, things we cannot know for a fact being a cop-out.

Also, as Gxas said: Stop with these bloody threads.

Being an agnostic is an acknowledgement that God or Gods may or may not exist, by definition. It is the stance between commitment to a system of belief and atheism. Hardly a cop-out, agnostics may believe a God is out there, but they are equally open to there not being a God, and that the God or Gods may take any shape or form.

The difference between an atheist and an agnostic: atheists believe that there is no God or other overarching deities, while agnostics don't believe one way or another.

Ugh... Please, why?, I mean do people seriously believe that every religion and belief or non-belief, or whatever you wanna call what you think, has to be talked about?

I mean, ok, you don't argee with some people, guess what, they probably don't care. So its a hell of a lot easier to just let it go then to keep making a new thread. What next?,the "Buddhist, explain yourselfs!" thread, or the "Why is Islam so great?" thread? I mean, seriously end it now.

Atheist: I do not think god exists.
Antitheist: I would not want god to exist, he would have to be a complete douche.
Agnostic: God may or may not exist, it is neither provable nor disprovable.

Agnosticism is the only... thing (I hate to use the term religion to describe it) which is inarguably 100% correct.
