Do you ever regret not being born about 5 years earlier? I have this occasionally, but never harder then when it comes to the band TISM.

If I'd only been born a few years earlier I would have been around when they were in their heyday, and I could experienced them live! Sadly, I missed out.

Do things like this happen to you? With games/music/movies/tv/what have you?

It's not that you can't be a fan of whatever it is, but those lucky buggers a few years older than you got to it when it was new!

Holy holy holy shit.

I have often thought the EXACT same thing, which must mean we're a group of about six select few younger fans. I turned 18 this year, only four years too late to catch a gig they played about half a kilometre from my house. And then came the inevitable breakup, and etc, etc.

Sad face.

Child of the 90s, I don't think I would trade that in, as I get to say that I was there when computing power surged forth from the 486 days all the way to quad-fugging-core processors being COMMON in under two decades.

If anything, I wish I was born five years later. Most of the eighties sucked ass.

I'm 22! I turned 18 in 2004, which is when they played their last gig. And I lived in the country during my teenage years, and couldn't afford to go to underage gigs in the city.

TISM BASED WOE.

But hell yeah, younger TISM fans! I didn't know we existed!

Also, Michael Moorcock. I wish I had been around in the 60's when his 'Eternal Champion' stuff was being published and that I could find ONE OTHER FAN of his amazing writing.

I missed Pink Floyd live.. and Metallica being good live.. and any number of other concerts. If I could I'd go back to a shit load of events like that and be all "Holy fuck I'm here.. WOOOOO METAL!!"

'course, that cry isn't so appropriate at the fall of the Berlin Wall or I Have A Dream.

I don't think I'd give up being born in the '90s, but god I wish I was there for when '80s music was actually cool.

.. Not really.
I guess I loved being around to experience Disney while it was still good.
Now I don't get to be a perverted teenager because Dora was remade by Mattel!

No. I want to be born about a hundred years from now, or whenever they figure out immortality.
Imoortality would only be fun for about 150 years, and you know it Max
Tsk tsk about the probation...

I would never want to be born any earlier than I was. If anything maybe a few years later so I could experience more technology and fun.
