Who remembers getting Cybermage? Remember that feeling of knowing that what you have now is top of the line? Remeber installing it; waiting for it ts finish. Then remember it having no sound.... Ahh the good old days.

Any ways what it your favorate game from BEFORE y2k?

I cant decide beteween Mechwarrior 3, Freespace 2, Xcom Apocolype, or Chaos Gate.

Crono Trigger. No contest. Simply the best game on the SNES. Unlike many games from that era, it stands the test of time beautifully. If you have not yet had the pleasure of playing it, do so immediately.

I remember playing on the Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis and thanking god that I could just pop a cart or disc in and play straight away. No installing anything and if there was a problem, just blow into the cartridge or, into the slot on the console and that sets you right!

I loved Duke Nukem 64, it was the first game I played for 12+ hours straight thanks to bot-matches. Other than that is Final Fantasy 8 which I still play today.

Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger and Cross, Quest 64, Revelations: The Demon Slayers, The Megaman Legends series, Final Fantasy Tactics, Mischief Makers, Kirby Super Star, Kirby 64, and the Golden Sun series are all Really great games. Wario's Woods was also an interesting game I used to play back when the SNES was my only system, but I have so many other things now.

Final fantasy 6 one of my favorits games of all time. Might have ages poorly ( according to some), but i love that game to death, it's one of those games i replay almost yearly to remind me why i love gaming.

Lufia . This one has ages terrible but i still love it , call me old fashion but theres nothing quite like it ( nostalgia goggles required)

Too hard to choose between System Shock 2, UFO: Enemy Unknown (X-Com), Civ II, MW2, and Planescape: Torment.

Or indeed Sid Meier's Pirates!

Megaman 2. That Metalman stage is the greatest in history.

Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

PC : Eye of Beholder series.

Believe me or not, but computer magazines appraised 2nd part for taking adventure out of dungeons to the, ahem, world.

Amiga : Hired Guns. Sounds of door opening... somewhere else.
I'd love to see modern remake of it...

ZX Spectrum : Fairlight.
I may be wrong but i consider Fairlight first "crpg" ever. ;)

Oh God Yes, MediEvil for the PSX (Did that come before the year 2000?)
Such a fun game. Great characters, great music, great levels but slightly iffy platforming. Despite that, this still remains one of my favourite games of all time.
The sequel and the PSP remake, while still fun, did NOT do this game justice.

Shame there will never be a MediEvil 3...
