I was aimbotted the other day on COD4. I was furious. At first I thought maybe the guy was crazy-skilled, perhaps ahving memorised the spawn points on the map, and having calculated the thickness of the walls, and compensated for accuracy with an iron-sighted M60 with deep penetration. Then I realised that his name kept changing, and every time he killed somebody, we got a message saying exactly what the bot was and where he got it. The bot actually tracks people through walls and kills them before automatically scrolling to find the next target. The guy was killing everybody and pissing the whole server off. Then I thought I'd check the website out myself.

This is where I had the last laugh, as I realised that the guy had paid $180 just to cheat! So it doesn't matter that we didn't win the game, as everybody knows who the real loser was.

Still, I can't believe they can be allowed to profit from creating a cheat program that apparently comes with customer service, and regularly checks to avoid Punkbuster, and who advertise their website in game and on youtube.

Any thoughts on this?

Some people find winning in games to be more satisfying then winning in life, or they have more money than sense.

I like to laugh at aimbotters. Chances are, most of the time, they'll get a virus from it. Also, I get personal satisfaction, because I know that I'm better than the aimbotting shitbag, and in any game, any time, anywhere, without that bot, I'd win. But I HATE it when botters actually complain on the server that their bot isn't working. It's like walking up to someone, smacking them in the face, hard and then asking them to help you.

Well, he's poorer by the tune of $180 dollars and a lot of reputation and friendship. That's how I look at it. Would I care a lot? Only if it wasn't possible to kick them out of the server.

Ah, the aimbotters, the scummiest of scum in online gaming.
I remember a certain aimbotter in team fortress 2 who instead of getting banned by the admin, the admin made him do no damage and any damage he took killed him instanstly.
It was so funny hearing him whine about him perfect head shots not doing any damage and then someone said "cause your a aimbotting newb who should die" before the aimbotter gets kicked.

Probably one of the best matches ever.

If you're not going to play properly wheres the satisfaction of winning?
Well, some people on the internet get satisfaction from trolling and pissing others off. And there will be those childish few who beleive that cheating is legitimate.

From my experience, aimbotters get booted and banned from servers pretty quick. And if they spent $180 on only a minute or two of cheating then I feel rather better about the whole thing - the stupid twats.

That's why you have to be smart and pirate programs that let you cheat. Come on now, if you're going to cheat, go all the way. Why follow the rules just so you can break them later?

It's annoying, yea they get booted eventually but until then it's annoying.
Still, I tend to give people the benifet of the doubt.

In one game of TF2 there was a guy named "I'm using a tablet", he was a sniper and every shot was a headshot. I don't know what a tablet is, so I didn't really know. Then someone ousted him, and he stardet yelling "Faggots!" "Death to america!" and stuff like that. The mod blinded him, smacked him, and banned him after a bit.

Aimbot users are quite possibly the only people who piss me off more than the ignorant people who dont know the difference between there, their and they're, here and hear, etc. I always correct these people in the most noticable way possible just to point out their ignorance to everyone that could possibly be around. As for aimbots they still have to fire on their own most of the time and I enjoy beating them to the kill.

A couple of my friends once went on a couple of CS servers and used aimbot constantly until they got banned, just to go and piss some people off and get a reaction out of somebody. It was a little funny I will admit, but I can think of much better and less inconsiderate things to do with my time.

I don't see the point in cheating in circumstances like that to win though. Takes all the fun out of the game.

Haha, I have a special thing I like to do with people like aimbotters. I like to make them feel as uncomfortable as possible. I do this by sending them via private messages copies of my 9th grade love letters, where instead of my old girlfriends name, I put their username. Imagine how uncomfortable it is for them to read "It may just have been a 20 oz bottle of cherry coke in my locker, but it meant so much to me Ibotlol@u69, you have no idea. It's like 20 ounces of love". Gah, that phrase still makes my eyes burn.

Heh heh heh.

Anyways, yes. Aimbots are lame.

I won't lie-- I've used them before. And yes, I felt a little bad and rather dirty afterward. You quickly realize that, although it's a hoot and a half to watch your kill count go through the roof, you're ruining someone's gaming experience. So I don't use them anymore... unless someone really pisses me off-- then the shit be on.
