I was aimbotted the other day on COD4. I was furious. At first I thought maybe the guy was crazy-skilled, perhaps ahving memorised the spawn points on the map, and having calculated the thickness of the walls, and compensated for accuracy with an iron-sighted M60 with deep penetration. Then I realised that his name kept changing, and every time he killed somebody, we got a message saying exactly what the bot was and where he got it. The bot actually tracks people through walls and kills them before automatically scrolling to find the next target. The guy was killing everybody and pissing the whole server off. Then I thought I'd check the website out myself.
This is where I had the last laugh, as I realised that the guy had paid $180 just to cheat! So it doesn't matter that we didn't win the game, as everybody knows who the real loser was.
Still, I can't believe they can be allowed to profit from creating a cheat program that apparently comes with customer service, and regularly checks to avoid Punkbuster, and who advertise their website in game and on youtube.
Any thoughts on this?
