Wear some sort of protection!
It reeeaaally hurts if you run around the woods in a Tshirt and shorts playing it.

Remember, stay in cover. Keep yourself aware and dont get taken by suprise.
Its an awesome sport, i hope you enjoy it as much as i do. And the best thing is shooting other people but not getting hit yourself.

Wear some sort of junk protection. I imagine it would be painful to get hit in the junk while playing airsoft, or any activity for that matter.

I used to do it but it gets dull fast. But I didn't do it in a pro league I did it in a neighborhood league playing in the local forest. Now I have about $170 in equipment and realize my mistake. But don't get me wrong it can be fun I'm sure if there are rules and teams but that's not how I played.

Also this was some great advice from a friend of mine: stop what your doing right now. Take your airsoft gun and shoot yourself in the arm, just to get an idea of how much it will hurt.

It's basically dicking around with BB guns made into a sport.
So how can you tell if you shot somebody? Without dispute I mean.

For god's sake do NOT waste your money on a cheap POS spring gun as a "starter" weapon. The thing will just break on you in a week. Get some a little more expensive - the increase in price is worth having a more durable gun (if you continuously buy cheap guns, you'll continuously have to replace them which gets just as expensive as buying a nice gun to begin with)

Also, make sure you're using high grade bbs. If you get gritty or high friction rounds, it'll jam up your gun way more than you'll like, and to much dry-firing can mess up the gun's piston.

And never ever buy from cybergun. They be shit.

Kind of. It uses replicas of actual guns and plastic pellets, rather than balls of paint.

EDIT: well, I've been ninja'd.

Stay in cover as much as possible, wear at least slightly baggy clothes, keep your eye protection on at all times, and stick to the role that your gun was designed for (i.e. if you have a sniper rifle don't go running up to the front line with the guys that have assault rifles and shotguns)

Never, ever, EVER buy the SM-6 hunter. Mine broke within a week. TWICE!

I think it's an honour system, about getting shot.

Other than that, I am unsure.

They have to cry out in pain. One well placed shot to some bare skin is enough.
I am assuming these are stronger ones than the cheap BB guns I used to have then.

Paintball seems better to be honest.
