I prefer video games.

While I can easily head shot people on X-Box, I bet I would be horribly inaccurate with Airsoft guns.

Actually for being a tiny plastic bead propelled by a spring (most common kind where I was, never saw a compressed air one except online) these things are surprisingly accurate. I used to sit outside my balcony shooting leaves off the trees. It was something to do while I was smoking.

I tried shooting some jugs of water with a shotgun and I totally missed, hitting everything but them on the bench they were sitting on.

Not to be offensive, but how do you miss with a shotgun?

I mean I know the ball pattern can actually be pretty tight at close ranges. It all depends on the load you are shooting. But still, it is a shotgun.

Me and my brother do we both enjoy it thoroughly and it is a hell of a lot cheaper then paintball which we used to play religiously.

I used to play airsoft, it was great fun I still have my gun, it called itself an SVD Dragunov, but it had the body of and AK, no scope, and fired fully automatic. I preferred it to paint balling because it's a tad more realistic, and if you have a good group of mates to play it with, it can be just as intense and as tactical as paintball.

you have to wash your gear if you don't want it to smell.

I'm planning to buy some airsoft guns with 2 of my friends, because we're planning on going up to my lakelot... We were thinking about getting Night Vision Goggles [http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/science/abf5/], but maybe not to cut costs... Still, would be cool to dress in all black, and go stealthylike up there in the trees at 02:00.

I llike airsoft when there isn't a lot of wind. That can really fuck up your accuracy. Its also better when you combine it with sword fights. Pistol in one hand, sword in the other, CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus, where has that idea been! thats the most innovative thing I'e seen today, even with the little foam swords from Wal-mart that would be fun.
