Yeah, but it is made mostly from entries done by the people who originally played/bested it and entered in their own characters for the database.

He gets his info from his regular players, so you have to try someone who's in a game that isn't out yet to actually beat him.
The only character I have managed to best Akinator with yet is Peter, one of two angry business men from a sketch off 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie'. He has guessed every other character i have thrown at him, including Leonard Susskind(the physicist) on the second try, Lain(from Serial Experiments: Lain) on the first and Jun Seba(Nujabes, who did most of the music for Samurai Champloo) on the first as well. I must say this has to have taken a great amount of time.
Sweet Jesus it even guessed Arif Mirabdolbaghi.
