My biggest gripe with the game is that it could be improved vastly by removing two things from the game. First of all the minimap. If Alan is lost in the woods, don't give me a minimap saying were to go. Second, and this is the big one.
Do not zoom the camera in on enemies that sneak up behind you! Once I realized that I would always be safe until the game showed me that enemies were approaching, all fear and tension left the game, team rocket style. It became dull and pointless. I could forgive the repetitive enemies and enviroments if it was actually scary and it was scary until i realized that the camera would let me know of every single enemy.
The first time through the woods when enemies had been introduced, I was scared shitless. I thought all the bushes were madmen with axes waiting to get me.
