None... No album came out in 2009 that I feel deserve the title "my favorite", though truthfully I'm sure there was one better than the others...

Here's to hoping 2010 will bring something worthy of mention! (Iron Maiden?)

Hmm, tough question. The best I can do is list my top 5 favorite albums from 2009, in no particular order:

Delain - April Rain
Epica - Design Your Universe
Halestorm - Halestorm
Lunatica - New Shores
Amberian Dawn - The Clouds of Northland Thunder

Wow, it's surprising to see how many people agree with me. Honestly, this was a pretty poor year for new albums, but Them Crooked Vultures just flat-out rocked. I can't wait for their follow-up.

Gallows - Grey Britain
Followed by the likes of...
Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions
AFI - Crash Love
This City - We Were Like Sharks
Rancid - Let The Dominoes Fall
Enter Shikari - Common Dreads
This list made me twitch. /elitist metal purist/part of the very few people who want to preserve the real bands of x genre.

Favourite album of 2009 is still rust in peace

Favourite album RELEASED in 2009 is endgame, even though it wasn't that great in my eyes, the cavalcade of mediocity absolute crap released (excluding live albums) this year elevated its position.
...twitch in a good way or bad way? I'm confused

It's a wierd one, the riffing and shredding is top-notch, but Mustaine's vocal lines sound confused, forced and devoid of any structure or strong melody.

Still, it's hard not to smile when he starts another hyperspeed widdly solo... HEADCRUSHER!

Haven't aquired many of the years albums, but the main one that springs to mind which I have enjoyed is Eminem's Relapse.

'Compass' by Assemblage 23, although, that was the only album released this year that I bought I think, doesn't stop it being good though.

21st Century Breakdown by Green Day.
A catchy, mostly fast-paced soundtrack about modern society. It was well worth the £9 I paid for it. The anticipation was for once justified.

If you're going to stab me, can you at least leave me my eyes?

Sigh. Obviously I meant Relapse, but for some reason confused it to Encore. Thanks for the correction.
