So my fellow escapees(im sure thats how you spell it)
what is your favourite album of the year.If you don't buy albums what was you favourite song.
Mine are: 3.Gonjasufi-a sufi and a killer, not for the faint of heart one of
th most extreme hip-hop(not even sure if you could call it that) i've ever heard.
2.Lcd soundsystem-this is happening, if the was such a thing as Dance-punk
this is it(more post-punk so if you think it will be heay don't check it out).
1.Gorillaz-plastic beach, great production and song variaty. The songs seem to get better the more you listen to them.
Also im curious to see if you bought you favourite album of the year.

We already had a thread like this yesterday.

OT: Taylor Swift's Speak Now is my favorite. Like every song on there.

Mine is Nightmare, by Avenged Sevenfold. All around great album, definitely a step up from their last one.

I'd probably say Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I never really listened to rap or Kanye West before he released this album but I can't stop listening to it.
Each song is really different and he brings in a huge variety of instruments and artists such as Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj and John Legend.
I think he's one of the more original mainstream artists around right now.

Blessed & Cursed by Devil Sold His Soul

There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret by Bring Me the Horizon.

And that album is fucking awesome. We've Got A Situation Here has an awesome video too.

It's either that or:
Motorhead- The World Is Yours
Stone Sour- Audio Secrecy
Avenged Sevenfold- Nightmare
Trash Talk- Eyes & Nines
Cancer Bats- Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones
Rolo Tomassi- Cosmology
Slash
The Answer- Everyday Demons
Airbourne- No Guts, No Glory

But the Black Spiders album that's actually out next year technically is the best.

Dessa's A Badly Broken Code, it was released in January and set the bar ridiculously high for anything that followed. Bonobo's Black Sands was also insanely good, but I still think Dessa killed it.

I love that "99 problems" line, followed by the "AAAAAH". Genius.

I'm not the biggest music fan and there isn't a lot that I like however Scissor Sister's Nightwork came out this year and I fekkin loved it. Great songs on there and I didn't dislike a single one which is quite rare for me. I'm overly picky :3

Both astonishingly good albums! They both make a great effort to push the boundaries of hardcore and metalcore

This is in my top 3 as well. Three incredible bands come together to make an album that gets more exciting and addictive the more you listen to it. A true work of art

So yeah my top 3 albums:
Parkway Drive - Deep Blue
The Damned Things - Ironiclast
The Gaslight Anthem - American Slang
