Their were... too many albums that were scheduled to come out this year, and didn't.

I'm looking at you Sum 41.

I nominate "Danger Days: The true lives of the Fabulous Killjoys" By My Chemical Romance.

Damn good album, a lot of effort put into every song.

Either Flamingo by Brandon Flowers or The Illusion Of Safety by The Hooosiers. Loved every song off both of those albums. Progress by Take That was quite good as well.

I haven't been able to get much music recently for one reason or another but out of what I've gotten I have to say the Escape the Fate's self titled album is amazing.

Wonder how much hate I'll get, but...

Twilight Dementia - DragonForce. I don't care if people say they can't play live.

The Scott Pilgrim game soundtrack was also fantastic.

I'd probably say Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I never really listened to rap or Kanye West before he released this album but I can't stop listening to it.
Each song is really different and he brings in a huge variety of instruments and artists such as Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj and John Legend.
I think he's one of the more original mainstream artists around right now.
I agree with this guy!

I also really dig the new girl talk album, plus it's free, so check it out!

This is kind of a repeat thread, but Abrahadabra by Dimmu Borgir.
I would have to agree. Never been a fan of Dimmu Borgir before, but that album was very good.

I've already got a top 5 list ready:

5: Immersion by Pendulum
4: Home Sweet Mobile Home by Nellie McKay
3: Cult Hazing by MODERNHELL
2: Sidewalks by Matt & Kim
1: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West

In that order with #1 being best. No, that's not a mistake. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one of the best albums I've heard in my entire life.

For me it was ABIII by Alter Bridge, didn't buy that many albums in 2010 but even so imo this is one of the best albums that I've bought in the past few years.

Magnetic Man - Magnetic Man

Amazing first album from the three greatest Dubsteper's to ever grace the world (Skream+Benga+Artwork).

The album in itself is so diversed, you could be listening to a awesome spine tingling dance song, then on the next song you could be listening to a hard hitting "knock your socks off" Dubstep beat.

Absolutely Brilliant stuff and my pick for 2010's greatest album.

Pendulum's Immersion, no question. Absolute monster of an album, taking all their best stuff from the past albums and combining them into perfection.
Hard to pick favorite songs, but The Vulture, Salt In The Wounds, Witchcraft, Crush, The Island I & II and Comprachicos have got to be them.
You read my mind man sick album and you picked the best songs as your favourites :p.Album of the year 2011 the prodigy's new album cause they always kick ass.
I disagree

Pendulum have gotten to poppy and mainstream for my liking, and Immersion was a disappointment on a epic scale. Its such a shame Aswell, I went to see them this year, and I so wanted the Album to be decent, but all in all, it was just a album with a bunch of scrabbled songs from a band who don't know what genre they fall in anymore.

Well at least In Silico was somewhat decent. I just wished that they got back into what made their first two albums (and their very early stuff) so good. A bit of drum and bass in their album never hurt anyone, I don't see why they ditched the whole thing with Immersion.

Well...that's my opinion anyway.

I went to see them live and i thought it was brilliant also in silico was easlily they're worst album tbh.Immersion was alot LESS poppy than insilico. Immersion had 2 poppy songs (watercolour and witchcraft) and in silico had 4 (the other side, propane nightmares, granite, different). Also songs like salt in the wounds are MUCH more DnB than those in insilico.
