Iron Maiden- A Matter of Life and Death.

Brought it while i was in Germany as a present for my friends, since judging by the album artwork it looked like the kind of thing they might like. When i got home i thought i may as well burn myself a copy before handing it over. I listend to the 1st track, kind of expecting it to be a load of loud screaming, but was competly taken aback by how great it sounded. I began exploring heavy metal in greater depth, and really grew to like (parts) of the genre. Iron Maiden today is still my favourite band.

That's also the first track i heard:

Before discovering music for myself, I went on what TV said was popular. So I had listened to more Spice Girls and Michael Jackson than an impressionable young man should listen to. I aged a bit and discovered Creed [just like everybody else] and started liking them. I was eventually saved however, by Ozzy Osbourn's Blizzard of Ozz and, Bark at the Moon which opened the paths of Iron Maiden, Dio and, other forms of the metal I still enjoy today. At some point in high school I was introduced to X Japan and later found [in a Tower Records of all places] a CD-DVD combo which was basically X Clips and a DVD featuring several X Japan music videos. X started me on J-ROCK/J-POP and bands like Malice Mizer, Moi Dix Mois, Schwarz Stein, Valluna, Dir en Grey etc...

Demon Days- Gorillaz

Best album ever. Came out during the last year I stayed in Arizona. Had a good job, always had some nice pot around, and plenty of awesome friends.

That album changed me in a way to where I not only wanted to listen but I wanted to make my own as well. Here I am years later playing guitar, bass, violin, and piano.

It also reminds me of the best times of my life, so that's a perk too.

Beautiful Sharks by Something For Kate made me have an appreciation for real music (not just poppy catchy stuff with no soul). It was also the first album I ever bought with my own money.

Music For Tourists by Chris Garneau made me feel depressed for a month or so and I was miserable.

Tie between 10,000 Days by Tool and Rust In Peace by Megadeth for me. RIP got me really into guitar and 10,000 Days opened up a new world to me in terms of musical genres.

...And Justice For All by Metallica. That album has the best riffs, melodies, and choruses of all time.
There are some underrated masterpieces on that one. Like "The Frayed Ends of Sanity" and "Eye of the Beholder"

Rust in Peace. That album made me want to play metal.
Awesome. I was only a kid and never owned many records, but this was the first record I ever listened to (thanks to my uncle), and I've loved Megadeth and metal in general ever since.
That's easily Megadeth's Best Album
