Every Metallica album after The Black Album
Now, there are a few good songs off of Load/ReLoad, for example, 2x4 and Carpe Diem Baby, King Nothing and Better Than you, but the rest of it is just utter sellout crap.
Its kinda ironic hearing that from a guy who's avatar is Vic Rattlehead. But then again I like death metal more than black metal and my avatar is Per/Pelle Yngve Ohlin.

OT - God Hates Us All, Diabolus In Musica and Christ Illusion by Slayer. The songwriting in them is not Slayer stnadards and Kerry King still can't solo well.
Haha that was bound to happen. I like Megadeth and Metallica both though.

The only album I can think of from the top of my head is St. Anger, but then again, that's probably everyone's first thought.

Same. I just like Megadeth better.

Anything after "American Idiot". Now I have to clarify that I'm talking about the old Green Day when I say I like them. And St. Anger, but that one is obvious.

Chinese Democracy isn't bad, if you pretend it isn't supposedly by GnR.

Anything by Nickleback, Fallout Boy or Maroon 5.

Surprised nobody posted one of these already.
Argh! Maroon 5. I can still remember they stole the MTV award for best newcomer from Keane. In retrospect, it's MTV we're talking so no surprises there.

Most of the albums I own are fantastic, but for sake of contributing to the thread: 21st Century Breakdown.
I love some of the tracks on the album but BY GOD THE REST ARE SHIT. If they'd chucked out the "rock opera" concept and just stuck to making decent songs...
The best example is track #5 - Before The Lobotomy, a fantastic song - being followed by #6, Christian's Inferno, which serves no purpose other than to indulge the unfathomable plot.

It is *just about* held up by the good songs, but if the bad songs weren't on there it would be greatly improved.

Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos.

It only had a couple of good songs (Constant Motion, The Dark Eternal Night, and Prophets of War). Every other song was pretty bad (especially Forsaken). Although I could tolerate In The Presence of Enemies Pt. 1, I couldn't stand Pt. 2.

This is all my opinion of course but I think that most Dream Theater fans will agree that this album was one of their worst.
This. I don't have all of their albums yet, and out of the ones I do have, Systematic Chaos is my least favourite. It's still good, except a lot of the songs aren't that memorable. The only thing I disagree with you on is your opinion of Forsaken. I love that song.

Out of curiosity, what would be your favourite album by Dream Theater? Personally mine would be either Metropolis Part II: Scenes From a Memory or Black Clouds & Silver Linings. I haven't heard all of their stuff yet though.

Scenes From a Memory is my absolute favorite with Train of Thought is second. Black Clouds & Silver Linings is pretty awesome, as is Octavarium.

I think the only album I like less then Systematic Chaos is When Dream and Day Unite. It's their first album but it doesn't have LaBrie as the singer and instead has Charlie Dominici who's voice I don't really like.

Anything after Weezer's Green Album was an incredible disappointment to me.

Also, I tend to forget that the second half of The Mars Volta's "The Bedlam In Goliath" exists. Once that album hits "Tourniquet Man", it dives headlong into silliness, resurfaces into brilliance for a few moments (specifically the end of Agadez and the first half of Ouroburous), and eventually comes together in Conjugal Burns. It's easy to overlook this, though, because the first half is so amazing.

I personally wish that Metallica's St. Anger never came to be.
Actually I'd point to The Black Album as the one that ruined the legacy of Metallica, by changing out their previously fairly adventurous song structures and musical ideas for boring standard pop arrangements. I remember the day that album came out, everyone in music class gathered excitedly around the stereo... after about three songs, we were all looking at each other like "is this a joke?".

Other rubbish albums by artists capable of much better include:

Celtic Frost - Cold Lake
Swans - The Burning World
Cibo Matto - Stereo Type A
Rakim - The Seventh Seal
Front Line Assembly - Millennium
Miss Kittin & The Hacker - Two
Mobb Deep - Blood Money
Rancid - Let The Dominoes Fall

... I could easily list 50 more straight off the top of my head but I'm tired and I need sleep.

How about everything on my local top-40 chart station? That would do the world a great deal of good.
