Let?s start out my list my list of Game of the Year with my 2011-2012 Game of the Year Catherine.
11. Catherine- A puzzle plat former consisting of blocks, a tower that can change at anytime, Ice physics, and more. This game made me want to throw my controller at a wall more than once with some of the hardest puzzles I?ve ever faced. And yet I still was playing it over a year after it came out trying to get every last achievement. (By the way. I did)
Now for my real, Game of the Year List.

10. Sound shapes- Sound shapes is the kind of game you love without reason. Mixing music into the simple game play made an enjoyable experience and some of the most memorable levels created this year I?m still being brought back by the ever growing user made levels.

9. Gravity rush ? Gravity rush can?t go without fault that it is a gimmicky vita game. But that isn?t a down fall. With a good story, great game play Gravity Rush had me playing for a good long time on my Vita.

8. Hotline Miami ? With its great tone and badass music Hotline Miami made me question how much sanity I had on how much I was enjoying it.

7. Persona 4 arena ? I wasn?t big on fighting games until this year. Now I play them often. With the story being much like a visual novel I was kind of put off on the thought of having to read a lot. But it goes to show that this game. Changed my perspective on visual novels and 2D fighters alike; this gets my number seven spot for a great story and great and almost balanced Fighting game.

6. Assassins Creed 3 ? Assassins Creed 3.. What can I say? With glitches, a lot of them In mind. And the ending of the Desmond Saga feeling like an ending as same as the rest of the games prior; Assassins Creed 3 was a game I enjoyed but couldn?t absolutely love.

5. Halo 4 ? Passing the torch from Bungie to 343 showed something. Halo is awesome no matter what. I loved it, what more do you want?

4. Mass effect 3 ? Now Mass Effect 3, even with the amount of grief this game got some I agree with some I don?t It still was an enjoyable experience with great game play and characters I grew together with. It ended the trilogy with a high note. They tired Bioware, and even if I am the only one that thinks it. I thought the ending meant ?even with all the choices you made through life, whether right or wrong it still boils down to the same thing. Do you stick to your morals? Die a hero? Or do you take the chance to become something greater?? The Ending of Mass Effect 3 wasn?t perfect but it didn?t deserve so much heat.

3. Walking dead ? Though I didn?t actually play this game I watched someone else play it. I
wasn?t boggled down by controls or solving puzzles of the adventure game. This allowed me to grow closer to the story and characters then I would have been able to by playing it. The story of The Walking Dead through its five episodes its impactful to its core. Even the minor characters had an impact when they died. Bringing your choices throughout the game TellTell did a great job with this game. Well done

2. Persona 4: the golden ? GO PLAY THIS GAME. No I mean really if you have a vita. Play this game. I had a hell of a time with it when it was on the PS2 and now that I can take it on the go? Even better; the characters are quirky in their own special way the story is still fantastic. The new content is streamlined and is awesome. If you didn?t play the original you wouldn?t even know this stuff wasn?t in the game in the first place. This is my vita game of the year I spend 75 well played hours on this and I loved every second of it.

1. Farcry3- When Far cry 2 was out I didn?t pay much attention to it. For lack of a better term I really didn?t care for it. But holy crap Far cry 3, there is no game that lets me feel more badass then this game! Hunting animals, fighting modern day pirates, setting fields of weed on fire with a flame thrower with skrillex playing in the background, this game is top notch fun. Easily my favorite moments of playing games all year if not all time; not to mention the story with Vass being one of the most crazy villains I?ve ever seen I feel almost bad for the recording studio when they were recording the audio. They were probably scared of the Voice actor. Far Cry 3 wins my Game Of The Year and It deserves it.

.. Kinda sad no one commented on this
OK then: "You didn't include the game I played/liked, therefore you're stupid". "My favourite game is not number 1, this list is wrong" and "How could you choose, X, you obviously don't know anything about video games"

That enough? Other than that, I can't really say much - haven't played many of those, some because I haven't heard, other because I've never been interested in. Also, haven't played many games from this year, so I can't really weight in much.

I'll just add to DoPo's post that you haven't quite made it clear what you want other people to discuss with you. Do you want us to talk/comment about the games you've decided to list? Create/Share our own lists with you? You haven't really defined what you want to talk about.

" I wasn't boggled down by controls or solving puzzles of the adventure game. This allowed me to grow closer to the story and characters then I would have been able to by playing it."

That's not exactly a virtue.

You need to ask people questions, not everyone is frothing at the mouth to insult your list and tastes. For instance I loved Mass Effect, I can admit the ending was garbage which belonged in a bad fan fiction, you cannot. Already we don't have much in common.

As for the rest of the list, didn't play it. Glad you found them all fun though.

Cant see much worth discussing.

Unless someone wants to start bringing out the high-res fruit...

Did somebody say...

I came here because I was promised delicious high-res juice.

I am disappoint.

OT: I'd still say you should play The Walking Dead for yourself, especially if you already know how to get through all of the point&click segments.

And I wish Persona 4 Arena were on the Vita, because I don't feel that I play fighters enough to justify getting it for a brick console, but I may anyway just because of how much I loved Persona 4 Golden...

You can tell me to play Persona 4 all you want, but I simply have no interest in playing a game where I play as a Japanese (are they? they look Anglo) high schooler, going through annoying high school drama for 100+ hours. Unless I have the ability to slap/beat/or kill the teeny boppers in the game, I am not interested. It also looks too Japanime for my tastes.

my top 10 of 2012:

1. Torchlight 2
2. Chivalry Medieval Warfare
3. The Legend of Grimrock (with the Mines of Malan Vael getting a nod as it's an amazing mod)
4. XCOM Enemy Unkown
5. Dishonored
6. Natural Selection 2
7. Mark of the Ninja
8. Borderlands 2
9. Far Cry 3
10. Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning (the DLC is amazing)

Honorable mentions: Hawken, Planetside 2, Hitman Absolution (even though I didn't like how they changed it), War of the Roses, FTL, The Walking Dead, and Sleeping Dogs.

Oh, and I just got Android Netrunner the card game; it's so damn awesome and NEEDS to be made into a full fledged videogame ala Magic the Gathering. It already has an OCTGN videogame version, but that's all done unofficially.
