So, you wake up one morning and it turns out that a large alien fleet has arrived and is invading Earth. How do you think the world would react in its current state? More importantly, how would YOU react?

I'm here to answer any questions on the nature of the invasion, by the way.

Possibly try and make a trek out to the middle of nowhere with some supplies in hopes they just take out metropolitan centres, but then I'd also die where animals (if any survived) could at least have a good meal. ... This is kind of my plan for anything big, really.

Any aliens who come en masse to earth are here to kill us all - they got too tired of waiting for us to do it and want to avoid the use of nukes as they make terraforming a little more difficult.

I would then proceed to play Minecraft while keeping an eye on the news feeds, mainly out of curiosity.

Initial reaction "Well, shit. I probably going to end up enlist into the army just to prove to my family just to prove to them I ain't no slacker!"

After that many things will pour into my mind ( Why did they arrived today or all days? What do they look like and what technologies do they wield? etc and etc.)

I would grab my first aid kit, all tinned food & water in the house, and quickly construct a bug-out-bag, then make for the forests of the Isle of Wight, as I'm relatively near the place and I doubt that would be the first priority of invading aliens or people trying to survive.

Then, if it bleeds, we can kill it...

Everything is always simple. I don't understand why people have these big elaborate plans.

This thread made me realise that I am ready for a zombie invasion but vastly unprepared for aliens. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE.

Nah, the discovery channel broadcast an entire show detailing all our plans for dealing with various flavors of ET. Which is monumentally stupid, because if they detect the transmission, they'll have all our strategies.
(PS, the final strategy involved nuclear bombs and helium balloons)
