Alien Vs Predator, That Battle of the Films!

THe Aliens franchise is far superior to the Predator...although...they're both legends in their own right.

As for who is a superior killer? That depends...having a one on one fight with an Alien vs. a Predator is kind of unfair, as the true strength of the Alien is the same as that of the Zerg, and the Russian army, highly expendable due to massive numbers.

Now taking technology out of the predators hand it can be a tough match, and they seem to be relatively even match...and an alien can take out a fully geared predator if it has the element of surprise (which is how they kill US so damn easily, but it's harder to surprise a Predator).

also, AvP the movie was awful (the two games are amazing), and AvPR is good, I thoroughly enjoyed it...but...it doesn't live up to the standards set by it's namesakes.

ok i havent seen a full alien movie (shame) and only seen the 1st predator one and both AVPs.
i would say out of the 2 youd least like to run into an alien since if you saw a pred youd probs say "hey nice costume"
but i have to say wtf is with the contrast of predators in both AVP films? 1st movie ONE alien owns 2 predators in a row. 2nd movie it takes the predalien to killmone pred with no equipment. also kinda bugs me how NO xenos kill in the first movie, sure they need to build up a hive but still the guy who got like raped in the tunnel by one shouldve been penis mouthed but nah face hugger for you.
and can i just say you cant say without gadgets alien would win. that would be like your country going to war with knives against snipers

Oh and aliens can see through pred's invisibility so you can take that into account

OOOH Undead aliens? Can't be killed and every hit bleeds acit, known to rape people with penis-tongue and machettes.

And there's already about a dozen Jason vs Alien movies on YouTube lolz... I'm waiting for Jason vs Freddy vs Predator vs Pumpkin Head vs Mr Rogers... That will be a sweet movie.

The original alien pretty much invented the sci-fi horror genre. It is an absolute classic. Though admittedly it didn't age well.

Predator is nearly unwatchable. Fight him with sticks? seriously?

I'll give Predator props for whacking Gary Busey (though even Steven Segal has taken him out), but overall, I think the Aliens have a much better track record.

Khell you need to find some of HR Giger's work on the aliens. It'd be great to post a couple of those original penis mouth/penis head/and of course penis tail drawings he made.

Very true... Sorta.
The Xenos aren't fooled by predator cloaking, but (according to canon laid down by the movies AND novels), the Xenos are actually blind. Their sensory perception is a combination of telepathic and non-visual means, and non-fatal damage to the right part of their heads and they go "blind" and freak out.

Apparently, according to an AVP comic I read way back when, the more frightened a person was of an alien, the more likely it was to kill them, due to its psychic-ness. Also if you were real pissed off then it was more likely to avoid you, because it could sense your emotion.
Still, I'm a fan of the Aliens too, and im gonna break out my Aliens DVD and find out exactly how many families were on LV-426..

Van Luewen (the guy who suspends Ripley's license) says there are "60, maybe 70 families" on LV-426. Multiply that by 4 and subtract 50 and you have your number of gribblies.

aliens do have thair good points about them acid blood geral scaryness and all round blahness (you know when you see them on screen and go blah). Hooooowever i still want preditor to win because of thair general air of pwnsomness (sorry i have been on msn for too long and cant think of any adjectives)

Reverend... That thing about sensing emotion, confirmed. The novel Labryinth laid out the rules for Xeno psysense, and they hopped a guy up on some berzerker drugs, and the alien actually cowered from him.

(Oh, just incase anyone didn't know how wickedly messed up Giger is, he's selling a $1200 set of six limited edition sketches of the movie-revised Xeno having VERY nonconsentual sex with females... Look for them on his site, I like the bottom left one.)
