I keep getting shot/impaled in the back when I'm ripping someones head open with my claws or making a nice neat hole with my inner jaws.

Do many people have a problem with the motion blur? I quite like it, the alien would be way too over-powered without it, there has to be some trade off for its amazing bursts of speed. Love the ceiling jumping, was in a match with a Pred player who was camped out on a ledge high up in the largest room, and just scuttled along the side wall, leapt to an overhanging platform and slithered up behind the fucker to give him a nice hole where his mandibles should be.

Can't wait for the survivor and infestation modes in the real game. When a few marines get together in a room they're really tough to take down. I'm really impressed with everything except how long it takes to set up a match...

I think the controls on the PS3 are a bit more intuitive than on the PC, since I've tried both versions, but that's just me. I gotta say, even if the Aliens have it the easiest, I just love to stick to walls and jump at people from the ceiling. I'm in absolute love with the Aliens. I'm probably missing out on the Predator and Marine, but I just love to locate a good target from a safe spot and then quickly move in for the kill.

Just played another game and I gotta confirm I'm hooked on the Aliens. Those creatures are just so Awesome!

Edit : For those who say the game is unbalanced, I must say that I've tried the Marine and finished the match with the second place. I think the score was 1st: 22 points, 2nd: 18 points and 3rd: 14 points.

What I find funny is that in some matches the scores are very evenly spread, but in others the top two or three players (most often including me) are completely dominating the rest of the players.

I tried it. It was fun but I wisht that there was a single player demo not just a multiplayer demo. I actually want to play a level as the Predator not just playing as one in a free-for-all clusterfuck.

I hated the demo. The main reason being that my computer is slow as shit when it comes to playing games like that. I will get a new graphics card, I will!

The classic experiment of game to movie.(or movie to game) Will it work this time?
You do realize that the AVP franchise has existed long before the craptastic movies were released right? And that there have been two games previous to this on PC?

Anyways Welcome to the Escapist. It's safer here.

Well this was a disappointment. They might as well call the game "Press X To Kill". Lengthy instakill animations? That kind of stuff is for finishing off a miniboss in a single player game, not for fast-paced multiplayer games. Battles now turn into the players circling around each other and whoever sees the other's back and mashes the X button first wins. Retarded.
And they even messed up my favorite thing from AvP, the Marine's motion sensor. It's far too small and unclear on the screen. Ugh. How hard can it be to not mess up a winning formula? AvP2 was great, all they had to do was polish up the graphics, add some more maps and modes, and voila.
It pains me to say this but I don't think I'll be buying this game. Unless they get rid of the Fuck You button in the final version and make some other big changes as well, but that seems high unlikely. I'm a sad panda.
