Are you tired of being the weird person that no one will talk to? Tell your tale and/or thoughts:

I was born with naturally red eyes (genetic defect) yet my right is darker than my left (which is also my worst eye). All my life I have been called a "witch", a "demon", and "the daughter of Satan" by people who saw my eyes. My parents were banned from their church because of this, and they've never forgiven me for it.

This changed (somewhat) in 2004 when I had to get corrective lenses for my left eye which was becoming worse, and contacts were my only option. I wanted to get a different colored iris to hide my left eye so my optometrist decided to make it green since green is the opposite of red on the color spectrum. So I ended up looking like Suiseiseki prior to Rozen Maiden. This was not a problem until I enter high school 3 years ago, and by then a few had seen RM. So then I became the laughing stock of my school.

Now they call me a "nerd" and a cosplayer" and that I dyed my hair brown (which I didn't). My reputation is so trashed at school that no one will talk to me except for my boyfriend will talk to me. I have to keep Clorox wipes in my locker because someone writes "Desu" all over my locker every day. It gets even worse when I get home, where my parents want nothing to do with me.

Really? What part of the UK are you in? I didn't think they were nearly that backwoods bigoted over there. What you've gone through sounds like something we'd hear about from the Deep South here in the US.

OT: I've always been weird, but i haven't had any problems socializing or making friends since i started high school. In fact, in the 12 years since high school, i've found that i've gotten better and better at making new friends, even if 75% of them don't understand me most of the time.

People dislike that? A quirky and cool feature like that is something that gaurantees you a friendship with me = P Seriously, you must of grown up in a bad place but i promise you there are people out there whod find that a really cool thing to have!

Iv always been a bit quirky and different. Iv definitely always been a nerd, but very luckily for me i fell in with a group of friends who accepted me for who i was. I guess my point is that there will be people out there who'll enjoy you being different. Uv just gotta find them!

Thanks that means a lot. i think the main reason people dont like my eyes is they dont know ohw to give a compliment without seeming like theyre pointing it out. It was the same when thie vietnamese kid joined our class and nobody wanted to mention that he doesn't talk english.

I'd suggest going to a small liberal college, I think there is a good chance you'd find it far more accepting than high school.

As for right now, would it be possible to get a green lens for the other eye?

I'm sorry to hear that. I was born with a cleft-lip, and because of that I had a really bad speech impediment when I was little (not anymore though). Kids would make fun of me all the time, because I looked ugly and I sounded funny. Luckily I went to a good high school and met some really good friends. But yeah I feel for you.

Just learn to deal with the idiots who can't see you as anything but an easy out for their own insecurities. All these things can be eased by getting at least one person to look at you as an equal. Having different color eyes dosen't make you bad, it's simply different. I've been looked down on all my life, it sucks sure, but in the end the only person you have to please in life is yourself.
Be proud of you are and discard the idea of hiding your true self. Abondon the colored lenses and embrace you person you are. If people don't like it... well they aren't good enough to be friends with anyway. Your family should love you regardless of what ire they've earned having you as a child. If they don't, then maybe after you move out and live outside their gaze will they see you're an integral part of the family regardless of the issues that came from other's idiocy.
I'm sure you're a perfectly normal and even fun person to chill with, so in that vein, find the other people who are trodden upon in school. I found my best friends in this same way.

What the fuck? That's terrible!

Your parents sound like a pair of cruel twats and I'm astounded at the hypocrisy of both them and their church.

Incidently, a pair of red eyes is something many people, including me, actually find desireable.

I'm bloody offended, this level if rediculousness sounds like something from a bad movie.

Excuse my coarse language but this calls for swearing.

Edit: And what kind of twisted religion (well, I dislike all religions but that's not important) do your parents allign themselves with? Hopefully you're disgutsed enough to not share their beliefs.

Be born with what look like scars all over you (defect in my melanin production... basically an assload of odd birthmarks). Not quite the same type of alienation, but there nonetheless. Being 6'2 probably does not help.

Back when I was in High School people either thought I was a thug, or, even better, that I wore makeup for attention. Yes. Because I WANT to look like Frankenstein's monster. I quite understand the looks of disbelief when you try to tell people that you were born looking differently.

I found it quite amusing, as very few believed it when I graduated 4th in my class. In college all of my friends just find it interesting and tell me I should wear black leather and sunglasses.

High School is... not the easiest time to exist. Soldier through it, ignoring those that mock you, and then get back at them by becoming the success they dream for but cannot achieve. Revenge does wonders for the soul.

They called you witch because you had red eyes? Honestly I think red eyes would look pretty badass, always though dual colored eyes looked pretty cool as well. Sucks that the people in your area are a bunch of dumbasses.

OT: Never really been much of an "outcast". Always been seen as the "odd smart kid" but never really to the point of being alienated. I have a group of good friends and I am on good terms with most people I meet. I don't get along to well with the really "prep" kids at my school, mostly because they are a bunch of stuck up pricks, something everyone outside their little group can all attest to.

My mother has golden eyes with black flecks in them. I think it looks cool. She got a lot of shit for it in high school. But that was aaaages ago.

Red eyes are bad-ass. In fact, they're so cool I kind of doubt your authenticity. Maybe I've lived a sheltered life, but if you were in my high school, everyone would think your eyes were awesome.

I wish I had red eyes; all I have are these boring grey-blue ones, and they don't even work very well.

I'm pretty shy, and I find it hard to make conversations in groups bigger than 4 people, so I used to be picked on for that. I was also picked on for being the sort of person who didn't like being touched by other people, so they'd constantly stick their fingers in my face and stuff. When Happy Slaps became popular a lot of people saw to the extent just how much I hated being touched by people.

well I was unpopular in school because of my ideas and the fact that I was to truthful about what I thought of things (few went far with teasing because they were to intimidated P.S. I never lost a fight) but I always found people to hang out with and you can to ya just gotta find people that like the same things as you wether it's tv shows, games, or sports

also a good tip is to join a club that interests you or start one, I met alot of great people in my highschool's anime club

Oh, man, Tom that is an awful story. Seriously, people need to sort themselves out. I mean, come on. Your eyes sound, if anything, attractive to me. Don't take any guff from these swine.

I've always been quite shy through my life, as well as being quite paranoid and having minor Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. So, yeah, easy to target. People like to take advantage of my personal space issues, my low self esteem and insecurities and indeed, my bisexuality. It's got better now I managed to form a strong group of friends, but it's always been an issue.
And then there's the geekiness.

All in all, there is justification for my general misanthropy. :L

Red's my favorite color, so I wouldn't have had a problem with red eyes at all. I probably would have thought they were odd, but I wouldn't have given you a hard time about it. But then, I'm the kind of guy that picks on the bullies, so...yeah. XD

As for my own weird story, I dated a girl in highschool that was pretty unpopular. Now, I've never really given much thought into the whole popular thing, so it didn't matter to me. But people gave me crap about it. Like, "Oh, I can't believe you're dating her." and "Eww, you kiss THAT?" and things like that. I actually almost got into a fight about it once.

We broke up about two months after we were dating, but that's because she turned out to be an absolute nutcase.

I've also been picked on for the stereotypical things like playing chess, being president of the book club, and things like that, but when you're built like some of the guys on the football team, people generally leave you alone as far as the physical stuff goes. I also give people crap for insulting me with unoriginal insults, so it takes quite a bit to offend me verbally too.

Anyway, I hope that people stop being such assholes to you. I don't think that there's a reason not to be friends with someone unless they're just an ass, so my friends are all over the spectrum. XD
